Mike closed the distance between them quickly.
"Aisha!" he said again, now just a few steps behind her.
This time, she stopped.
Slowly… she turned.
Their eyes met.
For a brief second, Mike felt a sense of familiarity—like the past had returned.
But it vanished instantly.
Her face was cold.
Unrecognizable.
"What do you want?" she said flatly.
Mike blinked, confused.
"It's me… Mike. From Delta. Same school—"
"I don't know you," she cut in sharply.
The words hit him harder than expected.
"What? Aisha, it's me—"
"Leave me alone," she said, her voice firmer this time.
And just like that, she turned and walked away.
Mike stood there, stunned.
