Daiwa Scarlet listens outside the door for quite a while, and Agnes Tachyon's unusually sultry voice leaves her thoroughly rattled. She can hardly believe this is the same Tachyon she knows. While she's still hesitating over whether to interrupt, Donna happens to spot her sneaking around.
At almost the same moment inside the room, Tachyon makes her move and suddenly leans in to kiss Xingyun Liuge. Because Daiwa's startled scream distracts Liuge at the last instant, the kiss lands at the corner of her mouth instead of directly on her lips. Tachyon is left frustrated, unsure whether to blame Daiwa for ruining the moment.
Liuge then calmly lets Daiwa and Donna into the room. Tachyon hurriedly wraps herself back up in a towel, unwilling to look too indecent in front of her junior. To smooth things over, Liuge warmly invites the two newcomers to try the specially blended massage oil as well, saying it feels wonderful. The phrasing is so suggestive that Daiwa nearly dies of embarrassment, especially after overhearing Tachyon's earlier reactions.
Donna tries to steer Liuge back toward "serious business," implying she should focus on important matters instead of this sort of thing. Liuge does not take kindly to being lectured. She promptly pins Donna down and starts working on her exhausted legs, saying that the accumulated fatigue is bad for her growth and future development, and that she should let her take care of it. Liuge frames it like perfectly practical body maintenance, but everything sounds far more intimate than it really is.
Donna tries to endure it stoically, but the massage is intense, and her reactions become impossible to hide. The more Liuge works through the fatigue in her muscles, the more embarrassed Donna becomes. She eventually buries her face in Liuge's pillow, which only makes things worse because it smells like Liuge and leaves her even more flustered.
As the treatment continues, Liuge switches to oil and starts working more deeply into Donna's legs and body, deliberately teasing her a little along the way. Donna becomes increasingly overwhelmed, both by the physical relief and by the intimacy of the situation. The chapter ends with Liuge leaning close and whispering that it will feel good, leaving Donna utterly defenseless.
