The tournament arena was massive, filled with thousands of spectators. The atmosphere was electric. Anthony's first match was against a student from a minor school who had awakened the "Wind Wolf" soul.
"Give up!" the opponent howled, moving at high speed. "I am fast! You can't hit me!"
He dashed around Anthony, creating afterimages, slashing with wind blades.
Too slow, Anthony thought. To his Millennium Eyes, the movements were predictable, linear.
Anthony didn't even draw a weapon. He simply raised his hand.
"Gravity Well."
It was a simple spell, but cast with absolute precision. The space around the opponent suddenly became heavy. The air turned thick like water.
Thud!
The Wind Wolf student crashed to the ground, unable to move his limbs. His speed meant nothing when gravity was ten times heavier.
"Match. Winner, Anthony Reed," the referee announced in a daze.
The crowd cheered. It was so effortless!
In the waiting room, Titan saw this and gritted his teeth. "Hmph. Cheap tricks. Wait till you face me."
Anthony walked off the stage calmly. He had barely used 1% of his power. He looked up at the stands, feeling many gazes—some admiring, some jealous, some calculating. But he paid them no mind. He was here to conquer.
