"Continue or start in a new world?" the words flashed before Shannon's eyes. Half-conscious, she couldn't feel a thing; she felt detached from her body."
There's nothing left for me in my world, a new world it is," she replied to the strange robotic voice.
"System transfer complete, welcome to Androva, welcome to Androva," the voice repeated over and over again, the words flashing before Shannon's eyes. 'Androva, huh, it sounds familiar,' she drawled, trying to hold on to the little existence of her consciousness. Her eyes began to close again.
"Welcome to Androva, voice update complete," came the robotic voice. It sounded more human this time, like a man was talking to her, fighting the deep sleep, she let go, not wanting to stress over the voice in her head.
"Maybe this is what the afterlife feels like," she muttered, letting the last of her consciousness slip out.

The sun shone brightly, with the chirps of songbirds, as a girl lay underneath a tree by a brick well. Her hair, as brown as chocolate, was splayed out on the lush grass. The girl's nose twitched from the tingling sensation she felt.Brushing off the flower that touched her nose, she slowly opened her eyes, squinting, in order to get used to the direct sunlight on her face; luckily, the tree provided enough shade to reduce the effects of the sun.
She draped her arm over her face, letting out a deep yawn. "This feels peaceful. No one told me the after was this good, and we humans fear it for no reason," she said out loud.
'Ping,' "humans have every reason to avoid the afterlife, and no, this is not the afterlife," came a smooth male voice.
The girl immediately sat up, "Who said that? Show yourself!" Her voice trembled slightly. She moved closer to the well, for a form of shield, that's if it could truly do anything.
"I did." The voice came again, this time a screen appeared before the girl, her emerald green eyes shone, her eyes widened, scurrying behind the well for shelter."Where did that come from?" she asked, her knuckles turning white from the tight grip she had on the edge of the well. She and a baby could compete for grip strength if given the chance.
"Hi, Shannon, I am the vowkeeper, well, first of my kind from my creator, and I'm here to accompany you in your new life." Shannon's grip eased up on the edge of the well.
"Hold on, hold on, what do you mean by my new life? I thought the idea of dying in peace was just letting the dead person be, and what's with the hologram screen? Am I the only one who can see it? Or it's a general stuff in this world, or I'm just purely crazy, because that would be just great, a starter's package for the crazy girl," she said all in one go, releasing all the pent-up frustration she had.
She moved to the front of the well, easing back down on the forest floor, resting her back against the well.
The vowkeeper let out a light chuckle, Shannon's brows shut up, about to ask another set of questions, the vowkeeper quickly cut in, "no, you're not crazy and no i'm not fully android, i'm something else entirely, but also part android and no I don't have a physical body and I can experience human emotions."
"Ah, I see, but?" Shannon was about to ask another set of questions, but the system quickly shut her down again for the second time.
