Chapter 157 - Chapter 157 : Brahmastra

The battlefield had already become unrecognizable.

The plains connecting the two forest villages no longer resembled land touched by ordinary life. Mountains of shattered earth stretched endlessly beneath burning skies while rivers had evaporated completely under divine flames.

And still—

the fracture remained open.

Still spreading.

Still pouring endless darkness into the world.

Arin stood motionless at the center of the battlefield while black winds howled violently around him. The advancing army had finally slowed after the endless Astras he unleashed one after another, but the truth had become painfully obvious now.

This would never end while the fracture existed.

Every underling destroyed was replaced immediately.

Every wave erased was followed by another.

The fracture itself was the problem.

And now—

something even worse was beginning to emerge from within it.

The massive shape slowly pushing through broken reality itself radiated pressure unlike anything the battlefield had seen until now. Even the giants from before looked insignificant compared to it.

The sky cracked around its form before it even fully appeared.

Liora felt her breathing stop slightly while watching from the forest edge.

"…what is that…"

Nobody answered her.

Because nobody knew.

Even Arin's eyes narrowed slightly now.

The Entity's voice echoed again afterward across the battlefield.

"YOU CANNOT STOP WHAT HAS ALREADY BEGUN."

Arin slowly raised Vijaya again.

Golden-black energy spiraled violently around the divine bow while the battlefield trembled beneath the pressure rising from him now.

And for the first time since the war started—

his expression changed completely.

No hesitation remained anymore.

No restraint either.

Because now he understood something clearly.

Closing the fracture wasn't enough.

The distortion had spread too deeply already.

If he merely sealed it—

the crack would reopen again.

No.

The entire corrupted space surrounding it needed to be erased completely.

And only one Astra among everything he possessed carried enough destructive power to do that.

Even Karna himself had rarely used it.

Because Brahmastra wasn't merely a weapon.

It was annihilation itself.

The battlefield suddenly became silent.

Not naturally.

Reality itself quieted.

The winds stopped moving.

The underlings slowed.

Even the advancing giants hesitated instinctively.

Because the world recognized what was about to happen.

Far behind him, the others immediately felt the change too.

Riven slowly looked toward the battlefield afterward.

"…why did everything suddenly become quiet…"

Then he saw it.

Arin standing alone beneath the shattered sky while ancient golden symbols ignited across the heavens themselves.

The ground beneath him began cracking apart slowly.

Liora's eyes widened instantly afterward.

"No…"

She remembered this power.

Not fully.

Not completely.

But enough.

And that memory alone terrified her.

Arin slowly drew an arrow from Vijaya afterward.

The moment his fingers touched the bowstring—

the sky split open completely.

Golden light consumed the heavens while endless spiritual pressure crushed across the battlefield like the weight of creation itself descending upon the world.

Even the Entity finally moved now.

For the first time since the war began—

it reacted.

"YOU WOULD USE THAT HERE?"

Arin's voice answered calmly.

"You left me no choice."

The Astra formed instantly.

Not like ordinary attacks.

This felt different.

The arrow itself barely remained visible anymore beneath the amount of divine energy compressed into it. Reality distorted violently around its existence while ancient celestial fire spiraled endlessly across the skies.

The villagers far behind the battlefield collapsed to their knees beneath the pressure alone.

Nobody could even breathe properly anymore.

Riven stared toward the battlefield in horror afterward.

"…what the hell is he doing…"

Liora answered quietly.

"…ending the battlefield."

Then Arin spoke.

One word.

"BRAHMASTRA."

And the world broke.

The arrow left Vijaya silently.

For half a second—

nothing happened.

Then everything disappeared.

A sun exploded across the battlefield.

Not metaphorically.

An actual divine explosion of celestial destruction consumed the plains entirely while reality itself shattered outward from the impact point.

The sound arrived afterward.

A deafening roar powerful enough to shake the entire forest region violently. Trees bent nearly sideways beneath the shockwave while mountains far beyond the horizon trembled from the impact.

The underlings vanished instantly.

Not burned.

Not destroyed.

Erased.

Entire sections of corrupted space ceased existing completely beneath the Brahmastra. The giants disintegrated before they could even scream while the advancing army disappeared in endless waves beneath divine annihilation.

And finally—

the fracture itself began collapsing.

The corrupted sky shattered apart violently while golden flames consumed the broken space surrounding it.

The massive creature emerging from the fracture screamed as half its body was erased instantly before it could fully enter the world.

Even the Entity staggered backward beneath the destruction released by the Astra.

The battlefield no longer existed anymore.

Only light remained.

Pure divine destruction swallowing everything in front of Arin endlessly.

The forests behind him shook violently while the others protected the fleeing villagers from the aftershocks tearing through the land.

And still—

the Brahmastra continued advancing.

The heavens themselves looked like they were burning now.

Finally—

after what felt like eternity—

the light faded.

Silence followed.

Complete silence.

The battlefield was gone.

A massive empty wasteland stretched where the plains once existed while smoke and golden embers drifted slowly through ruined air.

And most importantly—

the fracture was gone too.

Destroyed completely.

The sky slowly began repairing itself afterward while the endless darkness vanished from the heavens.

The Entity's army had been nearly wiped out entirely.

Only scattered remnants remained alive far beyond the ruined battlefield.

And standing alone at the center of the destruction—

Arin slowly lowered Vijaya.

The golden flames surrounding him flickered violently now.

Because even for him—

using Brahmastra carried consequences.

His breathing became heavier afterward while blood slowly ran down one arm from the overwhelming strain placed upon his body.

But despite that—

he remained standing.

The surviving villagers stared toward the battlefield in complete silence.

Because none of them could fully process what they had just witnessed.

One man had erased an army.

One Astra had changed the landscape itself.

And far beyond the ruined battlefield—

the Entity slowly stared back at him through fading darkness.

Then finally—

it retreated.

Not defeated.

Not destroyed.

But forced backward for the first time across countless cycles.

Its voice echoed faintly one final time before vanishing completely.

"YOU TRULY ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS…"

Then the darkness disappeared.

The war had ended.

For now.
