Chapter 7 - You Call This Martial Soul Possession?

"Today, we'll be learning about a soul beast: the Mandala Snake."

"Before reaching a thousand years of cultivation, this soul beast grows one centimeter taller for every additional year it lives."

The teacher, a man in his forties, stood at the lectern, patiently explaining while holding up a drawing of the Mandala Snake.

Yu Xiaowei sat in the back row, half-heartedly listening to the lecture. Liu Erlong's unwavering devotion to Yu Xiaogang irked him. He'd made his stance crystal clear, yet she remained infatuated. If Yu Xiaogang were truly a good person, he'd have resigned himself to accepting this convenient brother-in-law. But the truth was, the man was nothing but scum.

Setting aside Liu Erlong, just consider Bibi Dong. Having read the original work thoroughly, Yu Xiaowei knew Yu Xiaogang's true nature all too well.

When Bibi Dong was violated by the Sealed Chamber Douluo, she had to break up with Yu Xiaogang to protect him. That bastard didn't even bother to ask what had happened before abandoning her.

Bibi Dong, having lost her lover, had completely descended into madness.

And then there was the time he brazenly went to the Martial Soul Hall, demanding the cultivation method for Twin Martial Souls—specifically for Tang Hao's son, as if he was afraid Tang San would dismantle the hall in the future.

When Bibi Dong refused, he acted like a scorned woman locked away in her chambers, as if she had wronged him.

Especially that line: "Even though he had fallen for Liu Erlong, the one he truly loved was still Bibi Dong."

*Ugh!*

He'd ruined his sister's life for over twenty years, and now he claimed his true love was Bibi Dong?

"Damn it all! Love my ass!"

The more Yu Xiaowei thought about it, the angrier he grew, slamming his fist violently onto the desk.

The table shattered with a *bang*, startling the entire classroom.

Yin Shu, who was lecturing, twitched, unsure what had set this young master off again.

"Xiaowei, are you... alright?"

"I'm fine, Teacher. I just need to step out for a bit."

Yu Xiaowei shook his hand irritably and stormed out of the classroom.

Yin Shu shook his head helplessly and continued lecturing, pretending not to notice Yu Xiaowei's public defiance. After all, no one else would dare follow his example.

After greeting the campus security guard, Yu Xiaowei strode out of the school gates. Navigating the streets with practiced ease, he soon arrived before a massive complex that dominated the area. The structure towered over a hundred meters high, and even from the entrance, waves of cheering could be heard from within.

A colossal plaque hung above the gate, its golden characters gleaming:

**Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena**

This was Yu Xiaowei's favorite place to vent his frustrations.

*Clang...*

At the registration desk for one-on-one Soul Fights, a heavy silver badge clattered onto the table.

"Sign me up for a gambling match. Soul Power: 38th level."

The registrar's expression remained impassive as he glanced at the Silver Spirit Arena Fighter badge.

But when he heard "Soul Power 38th level," his expression changed immediately. The Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena never lacked Silver Spirit Arena Fighters, but a 38th-level Silver Spirit Arena Fighter was unheard of.

There had been a precedent-setting 29th-level Silver Spirit Arena Fighter before. Could it be the same person?

But upon further thought, he dismissed the idea. That 29th-level fighter had been promoted just last week. Advancing nine levels of Soul Power in a week? Even the Clear Sky Douluo, renowned for his rapid cultivation speed, likely couldn't manage that.

"Your name."

The staff member's demeanor instantly turned deferential as he faced the man wearing a silver mask.

"Godzilla."

A deep voice resonated from beneath the silver mask.

Hearing this name, the staff member was momentarily stunned. It really was him—the man who had swept through the 30th-level Soul Fight arena like a typhoon, annihilating all opponents.

He had even won thirty consecutive matches in the 30th-level arena with only 29th-level Soul Power, securing his promotion to Silver Spirit Arena Fighter at the month-end ranking update.

Yet here he was, just days later, already at the 38th level.

*A freak! A freak! A freak!*

"Mr. Godzilla, currently, there are no Silver Spirit Arena Fighters registered for the one-on-one 30th-level Soul Fight group."

The staff member spoke with a bitter expression. In the past, Soul Masters typically earned their Soul Fight points gradually. Achieving even five consecutive wins was rare, let alone thirty.

Godzilla's advancement to Silver Spirit Arena Fighter in just a month, and exclusively through one-on-one battles, was unprecedented in the Heaven Dou Great Spirit Arena. In fact, no arena in the entire Heaven Dou Empire had ever heard of such a feat.

Under normal circumstances, the 30th-level group consisted solely of Iron and Bronze Soul Arena Fighters. The presence of a Silver Spirit Arena Fighter was simply impossible.

"Why bother fighting these 30th-level trash? Are there any Silver Spirit Arena Fighters in the 40th-level group?"

"Ah!"

"What's with the 'ah'? I could beat these losers even at level 29. Why would I bother fighting them now at level 38? Sign me up for the 40th-level group."

"Right away, Mr. Godzilla. Please wait."

The staff member hurried off to find a Silver Spirit Arena Fighter for Yu Xiaowei in the 40th-level group.

Soon, he looked up and announced, "Mr. Godzilla, only one Silver Spirit Arena Fighter has registered for the level 40 arena."

"His name is Feng Xiaotian."

The Soul Fight arena was set up at the main arena in the center.

The time was set for one hour later.

The organizers used this time to relentlessly promote the match between the two Silver Spirit Arena Fighters.

Tickets prices skyrocketed in no time.

Bets poured in, and the total amount quickly soared to a staggering number.

However, few bet on Yu Xiaowei. Most placed their bets on Feng Xiaotian.

One hour later.

After the announcer finished his lengthy introductions, the two gates at either side of the arena floor silently swung open.

Yu Xiaowei, who had been waiting, took a deep breath and strode onto the arena floor.

Facing him was a tall, slender young man. Unlike Yu Xiaowei, who wore a mask, this man boldly revealed his handsome face.

Their eyes met, and Feng Xiaotian felt a sudden chill.

Although Yu Xiaowei's face was concealed behind a silver mask, making it impossible to see his expression...

However, the overwhelming aura emanating from Yu Xiaowei left Feng Xiaotian in no doubt of the threat he posed.

"Contestants, you may now unleash your Martial Souls," the referee announced.

Yu Xiaowei let out a strange cry, and a burst of flames erupted from his body. In an instant, his skin was covered in hardened scales, his frame shot up, his right hand transformed into a dragon claw, coral-like spikes arched along his spine, and a thick tail swiped back and forth behind him.

The VIP booth erupted in commotion at the sight.

"Is this Martial Soul Possession?"

"Dragonification? So this Godzilla is actually from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan!"

"Is this really level 38?! Are you sure it's not level 78?"

On the battlefield,

Feng Xiaotian stared dumbfounded at Yu Xiaowei's transformation, then glanced down at his own, which merely added a wolf head to his body. He couldn't help but curse, "You call this 'Martial Soul Possession'?!"

Yu Xiaowei, now transformed into a humanoid Godzilla, sneered at the much smaller Feng Xiaotian.

"Godzilla, level 38 Offensive-type Battle Soul Venerable. Show me your best move."
