Calux smiled at his mother, and then looked at the two items on the marble table.
His eyes quickly darted to the item that called him the most.
The Katana.
He moved closer to the table, inspecting the beautiful sword, and finally he picked it up.
The Apex Network allows the use of appraisal through the network, which is an amazing feature since you don't have to worry about misunderstanding an item.

Calux drew a sharp breath when he saw the qualities of this sword.
First of all, the sword would rank up with him, so he would never need a new weapon.
Second, no one else can wield this sword, and since it is locked, people will always see it as just the Rank + 1 sword.
The most important thing to note was the fact that this sword was made for the void sovereign, it has perfect affinity for his affinities, meaning he can create sword skills or use sword skills provided by his bloodline that involve the void and the sword wont have an issue with it.
On the contrary, it deals three times the damage, 1.5 times being physical and 1.5 being magical.
He decided to explain to his mother what he was reading regarding the sword, and Celine couldn't help but look at him with her mouth wide open.
"Son, the relic that the emperor uses deals 80% extra damage as physical damage, and that is considered top of the line in S rank relics."
"Holy shit mom! Aunt really gave me this! Plus it's tailored made for me, as if it had been sitting around somewhere waiting for me!"
Celine nodded in agreement, it was insane how the Voidbane family had a relic like this stored away somewhere, as if waiting for this.
She wouldn't dwell on it, this sword was worlds apart from the best relic this world could ever produce, plus the fact that it would upgrade with him was even better.
"Okay lets calm down, lets look at the egg..."
He put the sword in his inventory, instinctively and was surprised for a second, but then remembered that he got memories and muscle memory information for every innate skill he obtained from his bloodline.
His eyes moved towards the egg, and while approaching it, he could feel the connection with the egg.
It was faint, but he could feel it.
Whatever beast was in there was calling to him, or rather his bloodline.
His mom suddenly spoke up, snapping him from his inner thoughts.
"Remember, this beast will now be part of our family so you have to treat it well okay? Prick your finger and drop a drop of your blood on the egg and wait a few seconds."
He decided to follow his mother's instructions, pricked his finger with a steak knife that was unused on the table and dropped a few drops of blood on top of the egg.
He stepped away, as if giving the beast some space incase it was a little shy, he had never done this so he didn't want the beast to feel threatened.
The egg started shacking, as if the little guy couldn't wait to get out of the egg.
Slowly, small cracks started appearing on the obsidian egg.
Little by little, they grew stronger until a small draconic like wing could be seen from one of the small holes that had been opened on the back side of the egg.
At this point Celine couldn't contain her excitement, any draconic beast was at least S rank, and coming from Liana... She was sure this wasn't an ordinary beast.
Suddenly a small paw, punched through the front of the egg, and when it retreated back, a small draconic eye could be seen through the hole.
It made small chirping sounds, as if calling to whoever was there.
Calux decided to step in.
"Come out little guy or little girl, I'm waiting out here for you, I can't wait to see what you look like."
He slowly touched the egg on top as if trying to help the little beast, but suddenly, the beast grew excited and decisively broke the top of the egg and got out of its shell.
On display, was a beautiful majestic creature out of myth.
Obsidian scales covered its small two feet long body, with red and yellow draconic eyes, looking at Calux intensely.
Purple and gold lines adorned its wings, that made it look all the more majestic.
Suddenly, it lounged at Calux and bit his arm.
"Ouch! Why'd you do that?!"
Suddenly, he felt a burning sensation in his arm, and a purple dragon's face tattoo formed in the affected area.
The small dragon looked at Calux and suddenly spoke telepathically.
A sweet childish female voice was suddenly heard in his mind.
"Father, I cannot speak for my self until I reach the S rank, I needed to complete our spirit contract in order to create our bond."
"I apologize if I hurt you too badly, I'm still a new born therefore I cannot control my strength."
The dragon then slowly reached towards him with her face, as if to caress his wound with her face.
He could feel her feelings, what she wanted to convey so clearly that he thought it was his alter ego speaking in a separate part of himself.
"Woah...."
Celine was just looking at the interaction dumbfounded.
"Is everything alright Calux?", she asked cautiously.
She had seen the beast bite him, but then just as quick she saw it reach towards were it bit with gentleness.
"Mom... It formed a spirit beast contract with me, I know we don't have those in this world, but somehow after being contracted with her I understand it."
"She can telepathically communicate with me after bitting me which was the way of creating our contract, and she explained the situation. It seems she can live within what's called a beast space."
"The beast space was created after our contract, it's somewhat like my soul space, but tailor made for the beast I contract with."
Every word that Calux spoke just made Celine have a bigger headache.
"So the sword wasn't enough for Liana, she had to give you a beast never before seen in this world..."
"Alright, let's see your status screen so that I can decide on a name for you okay?"
He said while caressing the small dragon.

He didn't think he'd become a father so quickly, but the reality is making a contract with a beast is akin to having a child.
He decided to accept it gladly, his aunt must have had a reason to have a beast so compatible with his bloodline ready to be given just like the sword.
Every time he thought about it, it was as if these items were just waiting to be used when I appeared.
Hopefully I get some answers from dad and aunt when I see them again.
