Chapter 22 - Clown

In a plain bedroom filled with gentle air and the faint fragrance of flowers, there stood a dressing table with a long mirror and multiple makeup and skincare products arranged neatly.

The room was dark, as it was night.

On the bed lay the figures of two naked women, intertwined intimately beneath a white sheet, their breathing still heavy.

Natalie breathed deeply as she looked down at the delicate woman resting against her chest, one hand firmly placed over Natalie's breast.

It was Sarah.

Sarah seemed tired, her eyes still slightly dazed, as if she hadn't fully come out of the moment.

"That was great…" Sarah said softly, looking at Natalie.

"Yes… it was. Ever since you became a Spectator, I feel like you've gotten significantly better at sex," Natalie replied, her hand resting on Sarah's waist before slowly moving lower on her ass.

Sarah smiled faintly.

"Yes… I feel like I understand what you want better."

They remained like that for a few minutes, lying close in silence.

Natalie broke the silence.

"Do you think he will accept?"

Sarah replied casually, "When we asked him, there was only disbelief in his body language. But will he accept?… I think he will."

"He is young, and he has a thing for mature women. So he will."

"Mm," Natalie responded quietly.

Sarah tilted her head and looked at Natalie with suspicious eyes.

"Were you thinking about him… when we were—"

"What? No…" Natalie said quickly before she could finish.

Sarah burst into soft laughter.

"Haha, I'm joking, Nat."

She continued laughing lightly.

Sarah's antics like this annoyed Natalie quite a bit.

Natalie suddenly moved, flipping their positions and pinning Sarah beneath her.

"Let's see how you laugh now," she said, leaning closer.

Sarah's eyes widened slightly.

"Wait—ah… mm… gentle!"

Meanwhile, Jace—

"Yeah! Yes—I'm a Clown!"

"…Wait, that doesn't sound right."

Jace calmed down after a few moments. It was still dark, and he didn't want to wake his neighbors.

He quickly began analyzing his abilities.

He was now flexible beyond belief. He could move his body in positions that would normally be uncomfortable without straining a muscle.

And this would only improve as he digested the potion.

He now had full control over his facial muscles and expressions—a power he had been anticipating the most.

Because now, he could finally be in a room with a Spectator without worrying about being read like a book.

"Oh—"

He quickly went to the table in the living room, pulled open a drawer, and took out a small box.

It was a box of poker cards.

He had bought it a few days ago, anticipating the abilities of a Clown.

He opened the box, pulled out a card, and held it between his fingers.

Swip—

He threw the card toward the back of the door.

Thup.

The card embedded itself into the door nearly an inch deep.

"Oh…"

He took more cards and threw them one after another.

Of course, he reduced the force, not wanting to damage his door.

This is kind of fun… but I need to work on my accuracy.

Finally gaining abilities useful for combat, Jace felt excited.

It only made his desire for advancement burn even stronger.

Enough of this.

Jace used cogitation to stabilize his emotions.

Then his thoughts returned to the topic he had set aside.

Madam Webbers.

She was indeed an attractive woman—especially for Jace, since he had a preference for older and strong women.

But was it even real?

It felt too good to be true.

There was a high possibility that it was a trap.

Only one way to find out.

Since he had just advanced, he had ample spirituality.

So he began performing divinations using different statements.

All the results came back positive in his favor.

But he knew that divinations could be interfered with.

Still… he had time.

It was already the middle of the night.

He needed rest.

Jace walked to his bed and fell asleep.
