Magic falls into several categories, each serving its purpose in the universe. Before an explanation takes place, it is important to define Mana. Mana is the energy that exists in all places, and cannot be destroyed or created. Mana can have affinities to certain domains, making them more compatible with certain spells.
The categories of magic are called Domains: they describe the purpose and ability of Mana. They also represent the various forces of nature of the universe. Below is the listing and short description.
Anima: the force of action; movement and life.
Ordo: the force of law; systems, space and time.
Status: the force of information; descriptions and compatibility.
Psycha: the force of experience; perception and mind.
Oatoa: the force of probability; randomness and occurrence.
Cuesa: the force of souls; continuity.

Manaspeak is the evocation of Mana's capabilities. By speaking in a calculated manner, a caster can use Mana to their will. Magic is designated into four different grades based on Manaspeak's chanting conventions and complexity:
Minor-grade: simple actions.
Major-grade: complex actions; multiple simple actions.
Executive-grade: multiple complex actions.
Maximal-grade: multiple executive-grade actions, domain interplay.
Manaspeak designates the domain of a spell using a Call. Calls are followed by a Modifier, which determine the grade of a spell. For each domain, there is a Call. However, Cuesa and Oatoa cannot be interacted with by casters due to an unknown universal law. Their Calls still exist, but casting a spell using the Call results in a failure to cast.
Calls:
Tuhui: calls Anima
Ordai: calls Ordo
Imi: calls Status
Ari: calls Psycha
Oto: calls Oatoa
Cuena: calls Cuesa
Using a Call in conjunction with a Modifier results in a completed first half of a chant. This designates the domain and grade of a spell. The second half of a chant is called the Spoken Power. It can be split into the Concept Core and the Action. For example, the minor-grade spell Partner Light is chanted using the phrase "Tuhuini Solaris." The Concept Core "Sol" means "Light," and the Action "Aris" means to "Follow." The resulting spell is a light that follows a location designated by the caster.
The chant is only half of the work being done when a spell is casted. The rest is done by the caster themselves, and interpretation can change a spell entirely. Positional awareness, actions, and the resulting effects must be understood by the caster in order to perform a spell.
