"I will restore your emotions from when you were a good boy."
This is what the Shadow Knight said to Shid inside his mind. Shid appeared to accept it, or at least pretended to, because he couldn't show any emotions.
Shid asked the Shadow Knight why his shadow didn't appear, and he replied that they had become one.
"And now, what do you say we visit Mr. Zindar, my servant?"
Shid left the house, heading toward an unknown destination. He wasn't controlling his body; they walked together, and along the way, Shid asked the Shadow Knight if he knew where Zindar was and who Zindar even was.
"You ask too many questions, boy," the Shadow Knight replied.
Finally, they stopped in front of a strange, dilapidated house covered in bizarre drawings. Shid opened the door, sensing that the place was empty. He asked the Shadow Knight about it, but the Knight disagreed
"In the room in front of you, there are six people."
Shid asked what they were going to do. The Shadow Knight commanded Shid to place his hand on the ground. When he did, the Knight told him to say
"Copy the technique."
Shid repeated the words, placing his hand on the floor. A black substance emerged from it and shot toward the room in front, disappearing instantly.
Shid stood slowly, watching as six people emerged from the room and attacked him at the same time. But Shid vanished suddenly. Everyone sensed something moving at incredible speed. Shid had used one of their techniques to slow time, grabbed one of them by the neck, and threw him against the wall.
The remaining five froze in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened, until Zindar appeared and asked Renara, one of the remaining five
"What's happening here, Renara?"
She told him that the boy possessed by the Shadow Knight had arrived but vanished suddenly.
Zindar sighed, reached out, and grabbed something beside him it was Shid. He pressed Shid's neck calmly. Shid struggled as Zindar tried to break it, but he fell to the ground and then breathed again, his neck healing while he remained unconscious.
"It seems he has copied your techniques, boys, using Renara's technique in particular he healed himself instantly."
The boy who had been thrown at the wall joined them, muttering curses. Zindar ordered everyone to take a day off except for Zack, who had cursed. He commanded Zack to carry Shid to a room and stay with him, which Zack did.
After a few minutes, Shid woke up in the room and looked beside him to see Zack trying to fix his broken nose. Zack muttered
"I wish I had let Renara heal him... this broken nose will make him look ugly, not attractive to girls."
Shid disagreed
"Believe me, you look like any normal boy with black hair."
Zack composed himself and said Shid was lucky that Master Zindar had told him not to hurt him. Shid replied that Zindar had said that only to prevent another injury.
"I really can't stand you, boy. Bring Zindar here."
But Zindar entered, ordering Zack to leave. Zack stepped out, and Zindar sat in front of Shid.
"Alright, Shid, why did you come and attack my students?"
Shid's expression didn't change; he replied that he was 'sleeping' now with the Shadow Knight inside him. Zindar then asked the Shadow Knight to leave Shid's body, warning that he could kill it easily as he had done many times before.
The Shadow Knight laughed mockingly
"You don't understand. This boy is remarkable. Just train him, and we will be able to defeat Arkanos."
The Shadow Knight insisted, and Zindar agreed—but with the condition that the Shadow Knight must not harm Shid. Creating a monster to kill Arkanos would be pointless.
The Shadow Knight agreed. Zindar told him that Shid needed to train to endure the Knight's power. Zindar also stipulated that the Shadow Knight must not intervene in any real battle. The Shadow Knight reassured him that he would not intervene, and that Shid wouldn't reach the power necessary to use the Knight's full strength.
Thus, the discussion ended, and the Shadow Knight returned control to Shid, who found himself standing before Zindar, inspecting his body.
"Am I… still alive?"
