Chapter 7 - Chapter 5: The Hunt Begins

The snow was stained red.

Lisa's blood dripped steadily from her shoulder, but she walked as if nothing had happened. Her steps were calm, controlled, almost elegant — the walk of someone who refused to show weakness.

Behind her, Alan, James, and Adam followed like shadows.

Not because she needed protection.

But because the world would burn if she fell.

The Dead Attacker

James crouched beside the body Lisa had shot.

One bullet.

Straight through the skull.

Instant kill.

He whistled softly.

"Even bleeding, she doesn't miss."

Adam nodded.

"That's why they're targeting her first."

Alan didn't speak.

He was staring at Lisa's shoulder — the blood soaking through her coat, dripping down her arm.

He hated it.

Adam stood, his voice low.

"They're not stupid. They know taking her down shakes all of us."

James added,

"She's the only one connected to all three of us. If she falls, the balance collapses."

Alan's eyes darkened.

"And they want chaos."

Lisa didn't turn around.

"They won't get it."

She stepped deeper into the alley, ignoring the pain, ignoring the blood, ignoring the three men behind her.

Alan finally snapped.

"Lisa. Stop walking."

She didn't.

"I said stop."

She turned her head slightly.

"I don't take orders."

Alan stepped in front of her, blocking her path.

"You're losing blood."

Lisa's voice was ice.

"Then the snow will drink it."

James muttered under his breath.

"She's insane."

Adam smirked.

"She's Lisa."

A New Clue

Alan grabbed the dead attacker's wrist and ripped off a metal band.

A serpent symbol.

Wrapped around a crown.

The same as before.

But this one had something extra — a number engraved beneath it.

07

James frowned.

"Numbered soldiers?"

Adam's expression hardened.

"This is an organization. Not a gang."

Alan looked at Lisa.

"They're trained. They're coordinated. They're not afraid to die."

Lisa's eyes sharpened.

"Good."

The Enemy Watches

A red laser dot appeared on the wall beside Lisa.

Then another.

And another.

Snipers.

James reacted instantly.

"Down!"

But Lisa didn't duck.

She lifted her gun and fired three shots in three different directions.

Three bodies fell from three rooftops.

Alan stared at her.

James blinked.

Adam whispered,

"…She didn't even look."

Lisa lowered her gun.

"If they want to hunt me, they should try harder."

A Message Arrives

A phone buzzed in the dead attacker's pocket.

Alan picked it up.

A text message appeared:

"You killed Number 7.

We have 99 more."

Lisa's eyes narrowed.

"Let them come."

Alan stepped closer, his voice low and dangerous.

"They're coming for you because you're the strongest."

James added,

"And because you're connected to us."

Adam finished,

"They want to break the four of us apart."

Lisa wiped the blood from her shoulder with her hand.

"Then we stay together long enough to kill them."

The three men exchanged a look.

This wasn't a request.

This wasn't a suggestion.

This was a command.

The War Begins

Lisa stepped out of the alley, her silhouette sharp against the falling snow.

"Find their leader."

Alan nodded.

"Already working on it."

James cracked his knuckles.

"I'll handle the intel."

Adam smiled slightly.

"I'll handle the bodies."

Lisa's voice was cold, final, unstoppable.

"This city belongs to us.

Anyone who forgets that…

dies."

And with that, the four strongest leaders disappeared into the night — not as enemies, not as allies, but as the most dangerous force the underworld had ever seen.

The serpent organization had made their move.

Now it was Lisa's turn.
