He had been expecting Devara to be among those waiting to welcome them.
But after a moment, he realized that something was missing.

Bhishma looked toward Satyavati with an amused expression, as though he already knew the answer.
Before he could say anything, Rajmata Satyavati stepped forward with a small chuckle.
"He has gone to meet his mothers."
Dhritarashtra paused.
"His mothers?"
Satyavati nodded her head.
"Goddess Ganga and Goddess Bhudevi."
There was a brief silence.
Even Dhritarashtra looked slightly surprised.
"He had took this much time to inform them..."
Satyavati smiled.
"Apparently, he felt that such important news should be told to them by him personally."
