The story is dark, mature, triggering and has potentially disturbing scenes (No rape, but mention of it). It will look like light romance only for it to punch you in the gut with reality of the story.
And this is a BL it's LGBTQ+
1. War Crimes : Mentions of execution (of innocent too), assassination of head of the state, targetted killing during revolution, bloodshed, implied torture.
2. Emotional/psychological abuse : Systemic neglect, humiliating, Racism (against black magicians), mention of child abuse
3. Murder : Mention of homicide, poisoning, autopsy
4. Slavery and systemic oppression : (Possibly human rights violation.) References to slavery, racism against black magicians.
5. Morally grey characters : All to varying degrees (even the MC), some even unredeemable. So it's best not to think they are good people.
6. Revolution and casualties : certain things will go wrong
7. Cheating and infidelity references
8. Substance and Alcohol abuse
9. Self harm : Biting nails, peeling skin beside it under stress
10. Loss of parent/ Parental abuse : of main characters.
11. Mind control magic
12. No graphic rape : But mentions of it is there. And not between Main characters.
