Nick Fury felt two kind of auras coming from Drake. One was awed and inspiring that made him feel Drake was some kind of hero. The other was a cold and ruthless aura that made feel like a unstoppable force.
Although Drake denied having mutant powers, Fury was sure he did have some kind of supernatural power.
"Kid, you made many have sleepless nights on the government for the last month."
Drake was a little confused. Fury was a man of action. As soon as a threat appears he would have ten plans ahead to deal with it. He was a veteran at controlling people.
Drake was aware that for the last month, Fury had been in contact with many people trying to find countermeasures against him.
He asked Professor Charles Xavier if he could manipulate or read Drake's mind. He was disappointed when the professor informed him that Drake's mind was a bottomless abyss that contained thousands of glowing eyes.
Then, he intended to have scientists invent advanced weapons in case things go south. But the only weapons advanced enough were relics that extracted energy from the tesseract. He doubted weapons could help.
For the first time, Fury felt powerless against a single individual. But that individual wasn't alone, he also had many subordinates whose power was also unknown.
Fury didn't know about the mages at Kamar-Taj or he would have flown to the Himalayas long ago to seek help. But the answer would be the same, they were powerless to help either.
The ancient one had long noticed Drake and his demons, since the first days they appeared. But when she felt Diabla's demon haki, she shuddered and never peek on them again.
The ancient one knew Drake was an anomaly, but strangely, the changes he brought to the future were out of her expectations.
"So what was their decision?"
Drake already knew but he pretended to be clueless.
"See for yourself."
Fury handed him a stack of papers.
In short, he can now terraform the solar system and create his vacation spots.
The government will buy his elixirs and resell them on hospitals.
He can now build his teleportation platforms on the airports and the government will manage them, he will get paid 80% of profits.
They had denied him the right to install his tek generators because the government would have to charge the whole nation its usage and people will complain or outright refuse to pay.
The tek generators will only be install to power his Tek teleporters and to power the tek suits they will be purchasing.
After reading the documents Drake casually asked:
"I see. When can we begin with the distribution?"
Fury felt surprised by how calmly Drake was taking things, like he wasn't even surprised.
"We have already informed the airports, the hospitals and the police departments about the coming changes. They will be ready with preparations soon."
"I'll send my trusty subordinates to install everything."
"There's one more thing I came here for."
Drake nodded for him to continue.
"I'd like to invite into the Avengers initiative."
"It's a group of.."
Before Fury could explain what his Avengers initiative was, Drake interrupted him:
"No interested."
Fury fell silent.
"Don't you want to use your technology to protect the world? There are threats to the world out there that you can't imagine."
Drake crossed his arms and said:
"If earth is ever in trouble, of course I'll protect it. But I'll make sure there are not threats, including those lurking among us already."
Fury's eyes narrowed. The way Drake spoke made him believe he knew something he didn't.
"What do you mean by among us? Are there threats to the world I should know about on earth."
Drake didn't beat around the bushes and said plainly:
"There are many people looking to dominate earth by any means. You know one of them, Hydra."
Fury's eyes widened.
"Impossible. Hydra was destroyed by captain America."
Drake smirked and took some documents from his drawer.
"Really, then why don't you interrogate these people and to make it easier for you I'll lend you this crown."
Fury read the document and frowned, while Drake took a beautifully decorated crown from his inventory. It was one of the treasures he found on the dungeons. Whoever wears the crown, can only speak with the truth unconditionally.
"What is that crown for?" Coulson asked.
"You will only speak the truth if you wear it."
Seeing the skeptical look on their faces, Drake taunted Coulson:
"Do you want to wear it and try?"
Coulson was curious and decided to try, at most it would make him feel like a king.
Seeing Coulson wearing the crown, Drake immediately asked:
"Is there someone you have romantic feelings for?"
"Yes."
Coulson's answer was very monotonous, and his gaze was unfocused.
"Who is the lady you like?"
"Melinda May"
"Why don't you confess to her?"
"I'm afraid of rejection."
Seeing the vacant look on Coulson's face, Fury was sure the crown worked. Just thinking of all the interrogation and confessions he could get using this crown made his hand itchy.
"How much for the crown?"
Drake waved his hand dismissively.
"Consider it a gift."
Fury said grateful, "thank you. I'll look into this list. But may I ask how you got it."
Drake shook his head no, "you can speak about the sin but not the sinner. That's a little secret of mine."
Fury didn't press further. He didn't care about Drake's secret, he cared about his morality.
Fury had merely skimmed the paper and already found names he was familiar with, if they were truly from Hydra, then he had to take action.
"We'll take our leave for now. I'll contact you soon."
Fury took the crown off Coulson, who looked confused for a second and asked uncertain:
"What happened?"
"You confessed your feelings for Agent Melinda May."
Hearing Fury's words, Coulson's face turned a little pale. He looked at the crown and Drake with resentment but didn't complain. At least his secret won't be exposed by these two, he hoped.
After the two left, Drake sat at his chair when suddenly his phone received a message.
He casually took a look:
[How's your new life, traveler?]
The message didn't have a sender's number. It just appeared out of thin air. Drake remembers how he got to this world and didn't panic.
[It's okay. Are you the one who brought me here?]
The answer was instantaneous:
[That's right. Just to let you know that your system has three other functions that you can unlock]
Drake raised an eyebrow and asked:
[what functions and how do I unlock them?]
[ 1. World Travel - allows for traveling to other universes at random.
2. Exchange - allows you to exchange a treasure for another random treasure.
3. Fusion - allows you to fuse similar or different items into something more powerful. ]
[ You have unlocked World Travel, you need to meet certain requirements to unlock the rest. You're on the right path and eventually unlock them, so I won't disturb you anymore. Enjoy your life Traveler]
Drake tried sending more messages but the text history simply vanished and no more texts appeared.
He unconsciously opened his gacha system and indeed. A new tab has appeared.
The instructions were very simple and straightforward. Drake could activate it whenever he wanted, but he can't choose the place and time. Once he activates the world travel, the time on his world will be stopped.
Drake wish he could choose the time and place since there were many places he wanted to visit, but he was still satisfied with traveling to other worlds.
After a few hours of working, it was time to go home.
Everyone was ready to go home and took the elevator together.
Outside the building, the two retired soldiers waved Drake goodbye and left together.
The mature ladies of his HR department invited Drake's group for a meal since tomorrow was the weekend and they had the day off.
When they first invited him out, Drake agreed but they all got drunk leaving him alone to take care of everyone.
Now he would be a fool to agree, so he politely told them to get home safely.
His auntie and Esprit took a taxi to his parents house.
Gwen still wanted to hang out with him but she still took a taxi home.
Only Drake, Felicia and Jessica were left alone. Both girls took one of his arms and started walking home. It was only a fifteen minute walk and the girls would rather walk than take a taxi.
They like spending time with Drake.
Felicia was leaning her head on Drake's shoulder when she asked softly:
"Drake when are you taking us for a date?"
Jessica quickly chimed in, "That's right, Drake. It's time you take us for a date."
Drake thought for a moment and answered:
"I'm free tomorrow. But, do both of you want to go at the same time?"
Felicia smirked and said: "not just us, all five of us. You have to bring our other sisters too?"
'They even treat themselves as sisters?' Drake was having a headache. Why do harems look so simple on novels, was he still too young?
"Then let's all go out tomorrow."
"Yay" x2
Once he arrived at their apartment buildings, they both turned to him and Felicia kissed him first and then ran to her apartment followed by Jessica who boldly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him for a few minutes before running to her apartment.
When they were at their doors they both yelled at him:
"See you tomorrow." x2
Drake wondered if his appearance was really that good since he unknowingly started dating two more girls and he didn't have to ask them out. They both came to him on their own accord.
Then, there was also Gwen who was looking to win his affection and was very stubborn.
Finally, there was also Diabla who even changed to female forme to boldly seduce him. He had to admit she looked very attractive but thinking about the old Diablo poured a bucket of water on him.
He wondered just how many girls will he settled with at the end?
