Chapter 31 - Dizzy Tizzy

The group enjoyed a picnic in the woods. Persica went foraging for her goodies, as well as anything else medicinal. The rest of the group lent a hand. With what they could find, Persica was happy to inform them, "If we find a little bit more, I can make a special drink that will release your chakra. You'll be tireless for hours on end."

"A stamina potion, eh? Classic," Asterion chuckled.

"I found some!" Minnie rushed over to Persica. She held a bundle of flowers that resembled white dandelions.

"Minnie, no!" Persica gasped and slapped the plants from the shellie's hands. After doing so, the balls of fuzz were caught by the wind and floated away. Minnie gawked at the abrasiveness, but Persica explained, "Those are Dizzies, named for their effects on living creatures. If breathed in or ingested, they act as a strong psychedelic. You'll hallucinate saturated, shifting colors, and your reality swirls out of control."

Confusion plastered Asterion and Minnie's faces. They both pointed out, "That's right up your alley."

"Shush, would you?" Persica stomped and blushed. She sighed to compose herself, "That's even more reason to heed my warning. They are too volatile for our systems. We must be careful."

The lack of a retort or quip made the trio glance about. Somebody was missing, "Gamer?"

A few yards away, beyond ear reach, Gamer casually strolled through some thickets. He chewed on some white dandelions. He was hoping they'd make him bloated and levitate.

"Say, Samira, do you know what these do?" Gamer asked with half a mouthful. He plucked another bulb.

"(X X X) Uh, those aren't power ups...they're an environmental hazard. You're eating a trap," Samira revealed.

Gamer paused and looked at the headless stems in his grip. He fully swallowed the rest to say, "Well, that's just...unfortunate."

The forest around Gamer began to wobble, like unknown forces bending his vision. The rather flat ground ebbed up and moved like the waves of the ocean. Gamer teetered around the hills and dips. The contrast on his television set increased, and saturated his surroundings with brilliant brightness. The farther away the objects, the more they danced through the colors of the rainbow.

"YoOoUuUu gOoOoOd' bRoOoO?" Samira's textbox waved as much as the ground.

"Ye..." Gamer smiled. How could he not? His insides jingled and tickled his muscles. The sensation raised to his cheeks and he laughed in little fits.

Gamer sniffed, giggled, & stared in Avery direction he stumbled. Their had two be moor red CAPs and fryer flourers in the fourest. He slithered buy trees, parted the bushes with hiccups, & skirted the bends of grass. After finding nothing four the longest thyme, he rounded a tree and found giant anal beads.

So Gamer kept searchi...

"What the hell?!" Gamer returned and fell against the tree, after the ground tripped over his foot.

Coiled up, and about the height of a Saint Bernard and length of a couch, was an elongated strand of yellow spheres. It undulated like some kind of sleeping, giant caterpillar. Considering the absurdity of the power ups in Chanterelle, Gamer considered the possibilities of what this could give him. Marco used items that didn't need consumption, and this could be one of them. Its size and shape did not deter him, "...I can fit this in my ass."

Many yards away, Persica closed the chest in her carriage and slapped her hands clean. They collected enough things to keep her steady for a few more days, and then some. Asterion and Minnie were on their yosauri talking about fighting moves. Asterion explained how a perfect guard worked, and Minnie tried to keep note of its function.

Gamer sprinted by everybody. He tackled his yosaurus and yelled, "They're not beads! They're not beads!"

A large, red, throbbing caterpillar barreled through the brush where Gamer sprinted out from. Its body was segmented like connected beads. Its beady eyes and beady mouth expressed anger. Its bombastic entrance frightened the yosauri into a gallop.

"Where in the world did you find a whiner?" Persica clung onto the carriage.

"It was sleeping! I thought it was something else and accidently touched its butt!" Gamer divulged every detail truly except which part of his body he touched it with.

"Whiners are very fragile. When they are docile, they are soft and non-threatening. Bother them even a little and they become enraged and hardheaded," Persica explained.

Gamer, Asterion, and Samira gave (¬‿¬) in response.

The whiner knocked over trees in its path, and the stampede of yosauri caused a lot of ruckus. The wildlife retreated into their hidey-holes, but another creature chose to create holes. Ahead of the group, Minnie spotted mounds of dirt being shifted aside. Giant claws dug up the ground and created pitfalls.

"Incoming!" Minnie yelled.

The yosauri did what they could to jump over the holes, but the forest hampered the amount of movement they had to play around with. Asterion used his horns to sheer through anything too narrow for Ego and him, while Ego focused on avoiding the potholes. With two yosauri, Persica and her gummi carriage were relatively fine. Gamer and Minnie's yosauri avoided everything with hops and ducks. Gamer bumped around haphazardly, and caught the concern of his party. They saw his eyes swirling in his sockets and his stricken face.

"What's wrong, Gamer?" Minnie asked.

"Everything's...moving..." Gamer held his stomach's contents in.

"Don't tell me..." Persica glared. "Did you eat a Dizzy? A white flower?"

"I'll never tell," Gamer smiled mischievously, as he took a bite out of the last one he kept in his inventory. Everybody facepalmed.

Eventually, the whiner's feet found some of the pitfalls, and it collapsed into a heap. Everybody celebrated its defeat, and Asterion glanced back at it. More claws drilled up from below and created a big enough grave to pull it under. The minotaur couldn't believe his eyes, "Oh, he dead!"

"Mollies! It's because we're making too much noise!" Persica fussed.

The ground vibrated violently. Birds escaped to the air and monkeys swung away on vines. The mole people simulated an earthquake.

Minnie called out the next big problem, "Oh, billie! We have another chasm!"

Ahead of them, a fissure slowly opened. The mollies tried to head them off. As before, Minnie, Persica, and Asterion jumped and fluttered over the gap. They turned to see Gamer. He lulled side to side, and his yosaurus struggled to keep him upright.

"He's not gonna make it," Asterion analyzed.

The yosaurus made the leap and kicked its legs. It lost its focus on Gamer, and the rider slid off. The yosaurus landed, while Gamer plummeted into the fissure.

"Gamer!" Persica called. Mollie mounds started to form around the yosauri. They were being surrounded again.

"It's okay! Gamer's survived this kind of fall before! Let's focus on ourselves for now," Minnie advised. She believed in her friend. The group fled and wished Gamer good luck.
