Chapter 18 - Lena's Happiness

The time was 2pm and Lena's classes finally ended for the day as she stumbled out with a dejected look on her face.

After her exchange with Keven, she realized more and more how hopeless everything was looking.

Coupled with his threats to her sister, she felt even more backed into a corner.

Ignoring the worried gazes of her friends, she slowly made her way towards the dormitory so she could get some rest.

Due to the layout of the school, she had to pass by the parking lot to make it to housing, and it was there that she heard a loud ear piercing noise she was familiar with.

Led by the sound, she peeked around the corner in an effort to identify the car.

Once she did however, she froze as she noticed the model.

Quickly, she opened her gallery and scrolled until she found a picture. The picture was of a handsome man getting into a car of the exact same type.

A genuine smile bloomed on her face as she ran off towards the car, pushing through the already forming crowd as she looked at the drivers seat.

Inside she saw the face of the man she's been thinking about nonstop.

"Akashic!!" Seeing him get out of the car, she bolted towards him straight into a hug.

Startled by her sudden actions but used to her personality, Akashic simply returned the hug with one hand as his other carried a bag.

"What happened?" He whispered as she hung onto him.

She simply shook her head, exclaiming that everything was fine before separating herself.

Hearing the murmurs from the crowd embarrassed her as she realized her actions but she still kept a calm face.

Though he couldn't outright detect lies like Alexia, Akashic had eyes and could tell she wasn't okay.

*growl*

The sound of Lena's stomach rumbling was faint in the noises of the crowd, but Akashic heard it all the same as he smiled.

"Would you two like to go out to eat? I could use some food myself."

Though he made breakfast this morning, he didn't quite get a chance to make lunch as Alexia was extra clingy after waking up—not that he minded.

In the name of 'Making up for lost time' they pleasured each other for hours before Alexia's enhanced body came enough times to feel tired again.

Seeing as he had nothing else to do, he knew it was about time for the twins to finish up their classes so he brought their clothes.

Lena put her hand over her belly. She was preoccupied during lunch so she didn't eat. And after that she didn't have an appetite.

But after hearing Akashic's offer her stomach came to life, rumbling in a rhythm quite like his car.

"Where's Luna? It's only a two seater but she'll be able to fit as well." Akashic looked around and frowned when he didn't see her.

"She's…doing tutoring, so she'll be busy until 5 or 6." Lena spoke, freezing when she mentioned the tutoring.

Akashic noticed this and made a mental note of it before shifting the mood.

"Well, I'll make sure to bring her back some food. As for us, how about we do a preliminary date?" It seemed to work as after hearing his words, she nodded while smiling happily.

Opening the door for her, she got into the passenger seat.

After closing the door he remembered the bag still in his hand and walked to the front of his car to put it in storage for now.

Finishing up, he got behind the wheel and relished Lena's starstruck gaze as she looked at his interior.

Pressing a button, the car soon came to life as he revved it a bit, causing the students who previously surrounded the car to back away.

With the newfound gap, Akashic backed up and exited the parking lot, heading towards a restaurant he knew she would enjoy.

Along the way, Lena made no noise as she looked all around.

At the next stoplight, they made eye contact and she was practically begging for permission.

"Haha, go ahead." With his confirmation, stars appeared in the happy Lena's eyes as she whipped her phone out and took pictures of every thing she could, besides Akashic's face.

Though everyone at school knew it was his, she was posting this to her massive following and didn't want to out him like that.

Even if she knew Akashic wouldn't mind it, she still refrained.

"Phew! That's interior work done!" She wanted to take more pictures once she got out, but for now it was fine.

A few minutes later they arrived at a sushi restaurant that wasn't very busy as it was quite early still.

Akashic remembered during the party that the food Lena ordered the most of was by far the sushi. So, this was his first thought when he was taking her out to eat.

Lena was excited upon seeing the place as it was fairly popular as it's a new spot.

Though as long as she was with Akashic, it didn't matter where or what they ate.

Getting a table quickly, the two sat in a relaxing area across from each other.

The waitress arrived quickly, smiling at them as she asked what drinks they would like.

"I'll just take this, please." Seeing as there wasn't many drinks to choose from, and because he had to drive, Akashic refrained from any alcoholic beverages and just chose something he liked.

"Strawberry lemonade, please." Lena chose something she enjoyed as well.

The waitress nodded at them and brought their drinks before asking what they would like to eat.

Looking through the menu, Akashic listed off his choices before passing the baton to Lena.

Just like the first time, he winked at her, letting her know she didn't need to hold back.

"Ah! Yes, can I get…" Luna went on to name several items. The waitress nodded with a smile on her face before notifying them of the wait and walking off.

"All this on the pre-date? How will my pockets ever recover from the real thing." Akashic jested, causing Lena to roll her eyes as she played along with him.

"Poor me, my future boyfriend is planning on starving me!" She pouted to accentuate the act.

[+25 Satisfaction Points]

It didn't take long until the food was out and in front of them. They thanked the waitress again before beginning to eat.

Akashic enjoyed every bite. Not enough to get any points out of it, but he appreciated the food here.

Lena, on the other hand, savored every bite with glee on her face.

"It's so good! I can't believe I never came here before!"

While enjoying the food and talking about miscellaneous things, the end of dinner slowly approached and an hour later, they were walking out of the restaurant.

Since Luna didn't eat sushi, they were going to stop by elsewhere to get her some food.

'Oh, so that's why I never went.' Lena sighed as she thought about the final bill of almost $200.

Getting in the car, Akashic stopped to get some gas before making sure to get Luna some food.

After he dropped Lena off, he was going to go grocery shopping so he can have food to cook for tonight.

"Oh yeah, are you attending the party this weekend?" Lena questioned.

"Party?" This caught Akashic off guard. He didn't remember any party in his first time around.

"It makes sense you wouldn't know, it was a private party for the most popular in the school." Hearing this calmed him down.

'Ah, of course. It was way out of my league at the time.'

Even now Akashic didn't care to go. In his mind, why would he waste time with a bunch of people he hated when he could spend that time making Alexia cu— spend time relaxing at home.

Before he rejected, he asked her plans as he felt a discomfort come from her when she mentioned the party.

"I…yeah I'm going." Hearing her falter in her words only confirmed his thoughts as he changed his mind.

"Well then, so am I." Though this touched and surprised Lena, there was also a sense of worry.

Seeing the smile on his face however, she couldn't bring herself to dissuade him. With that settled, he began driving to their final few stops.

About ten minutes passed as Akashic neared a straight stretch of empty road. He stopped before looking at her.

"Ready?"

She casted him a confused glance before he gestured her to look forward.

As soon as she did, he took off as the speed climbed.

0-60mph(0-97km/h) in about 3 seconds, the sudden speed pushing her head back against the headrest.

"Oh my god!!!" Her mouth opened as the speeds went even further beyond that, up until the road began to come to an end and Akashic slowed.

There was tears in the corner of her eyes as she experienced the feeling of speeding for the first time.

She had a childlike joy on her face as she tried to calm her nerves, heart still pounding after the fact.

Seeing his actions had the desired effect, Akashic took her back to the dormitory as it was 4pm

As he parked, he got out and opened the storage before handing her the bag.

"Now you have something to wear to the party, don't you?" He chuckled as she took the bag.

Maintaining eye contact, Lena was lost in his gaze as she thought sadly to herself.

'So handsome, so nice…if only I could've met him under different circumstances'

She knew how powerful Keven was, and though she figured Akashic had money, the Wyte family had influence and money. They were untouchable.

Above all, she couldn't bear to watch him get hurt for her sake. Even his decision to go to the party was dangerous.

She knew all this, yes, but still she couldn't keep her distance. For how ever long she had left, she wanted to spend it with him.

After some time in her thoughts she moved closer to him.

"Should I look away this time?" His smirk annoyed her, though judging by the curve of her lips she enjoyed his teasing.

"Idiot." She grumbled as he bent down, allowing her to plant a kiss firmly on his cheek, but close to his lips, before scurrying away.

Akashic was slightly disappointed but his smile never faded.

'So cute.' He remarked while looking at the fleeing rabbit.

'Keven, huh? Guess I'm starting with him…'
