The next day~
Early in the morning, twenty minutes before homeroom starts, i stood outside her class, waiting for yumi to arrive. In the meantime, akane saw me and gasped.
"Mizuki?! What brings you here?"
Her words dripping with fale sweetness, twirling a strand of hairs between her fingers and trying very hard to look cute with those puppy eyes
"shut up." my voice sharp and firm
She froze, her face filling with embarrassment as she stormed back in class.
After some minutes, a familiar petite silhouette came in sight. I already knew it's her. When she came close enough, she was holding her head high, back straight... Like following orders and smiled at me... Which quiet didn't reach her eyes.
I grabbed her wrist softly and she gasped as i pulled her, in her class.
The class was almost full, only some seats empty. Everyone froze at the sight of us together. Conversations died instantly mid sentence and every head turned in our direction. Yumi was standing too still, face pale and mouth slightly agape but, i kept my focus on the class.
"Do anyone have any problem with my girlfriend?"
The students gaspes in sync.
Even yumi inhaled sharply.
"If i ever saw anyone hurting or raising their voice it even making fun of her..."
I let the threat hang. The class went dead silent.
Akane slammed both her palms on the table. Her teeths gritted. "why this filth?!"
"watch your mouth, wanna be popular"
The class went silent again.
"i think i have made myself clear enough. And if someone doesn't understand, i also know how to use fists to explain better."
No one said anything.
I slowly turned my head to look at yumi, who was now standing stunned. Those big blue eyes wide and teary, looking at me like i just declared war, or maybe... I did. Her hand trembling in mine.
I squeezed her hand "understood?" i asked softly and she nodded in response.
I left her hand and stood there, watching until she got settle in her seat. I then stepped out but not without flashing a tiny smile in her direction.
