Jay-Jay's POV
For once—
I ignored my phone.
Completely.
No checking.
No replying.
No thinking about it.
Just… school.
Just normal.
And honestly?
That's exactly what I needed.
Because the moment I stepped into Section E, everything felt different.
Louder.
Messier.
Alive.
"JAY-JAY!"
I barely had time to react before someone threw an arm over my shoulder.
"Move," I said flatly.
"No," Cin replied immediately.
I pushed his arm off anyway. "Try again tomorrow."
He grinned. "You missed me."
"I really didn't."
Before he could respond, Felix walked in behind him, dropping his bag onto the nearest chair.
"Why are you both arguing this early?" he asked.
"Because she woke up angry," Cin said.
"I'm always like this," I replied.
"Exactly," Felix muttered.
I rolled my eyes and walked further inside, placing my bag on my desk.
Around me, the usual chaos was already starting.
Voices everywhere.
Someone laughing too loudly.
Someone arguing over a seat.
Someone already complaining about homework.
Section E.
Never quiet.
Never normal.
And somehow—
That's what made it feel like home.
"Jay!"
I turned slightly as Rakki suddenly appeared at the door, leaning in like she didn't belong there.
"You're not even in this section," I said.
"I know," she said proudly.
"That's not something to be proud of."
"I came to visit."
"You came to gossip."
"Same thing."
I shook my head, but didn't stop her from walking in anyway.
Mica followed behind her, more calm, more normal.
"Just five minutes," she said.
"You always say that," I replied.
"And we always stay longer," Rakki added.
"Exactly my point."
Cin looked between them. "Why is Section C invading us?"
"Because we're better," Rakki said.
"Debatable," Felix replied.
Before it could turn into another argument, the bell rang loudly.
Everyone groaned at the same time.
"Out," I told Rakki and Mica.
"Rude," Rakki said.
"Leave."
"Fine," she muttered dramatically, dragging Mica with her. "We'll meet later."
"Obviously," I replied.
They left just as the teacher walked in.
Perfect timing.
"Sit down," she said immediately.
Everyone rushed to their seats—some fast, some lazy, some clearly not ready for class at all.
I sat down, taking out my notebook, trying to focus.
And for once—
It worked.
The lesson started, and I actually listened.
Answered questions.
Wrote notes.
Even paid attention during explanations.
No distractions.
No messages.
No… him.
And it felt good.
Really good.
By lunch break, Section E was back to full chaos mode.
Tables pushed together.
Food everywhere.
Loud conversations overlapping each other.
"Give me that," Cin said, reaching for my food.
I slapped his hand. "Touch it and you lose your hand."
"Violent," he muttered.
"Hungry," I corrected.
Felix sat across from me, shaking his head. "You two are exhausting."
"You're still here," I said.
"Unfortunately."
I smirked slightly, taking another bite.
A few minutes later, Rakki and Mica joined us again.
"Miss us?" Rakki asked.
"No," I said.
"Yes, you did," she replied confidently.
"Sit down or leave."
She sat down. "See? Love."
Mica just smiled slightly and opened her lunch.
For a while, everything was just… normal.
Talking.
Laughing.
Arguing over nothing.
The kind of chaos that didn't feel stressful.
Just… real.
Cin started telling some random story, Felix kept correcting him, Rakki kept interrupting, and Mica just listened like always.
And me?
I just sat there.
Watching.
Listening.
Being part of it.
And for the first time since yesterday—
My mind wasn't somewhere else.
It was here.
With them.
With Section E.
Where things actually made sense.
Where nothing felt confusing.
Where no one talked in riddles.
Where no one made my heart beat faster for no reason.
Just… this.
Simple.
Loud.
Real.
And maybe—
That's exactly what I needed.
