Five years ago
I'm here in the event that my father does at least once every year to build loyal connection from other powerful politician and businessmen, so I, as his only son have to help him build that. Therefore, I have to talk to so many people even though I don't want to but it is business so I have nothing to do about it.
As I talk to some politicians with Cole beside me, my gaze suddenly moves to the door entrance colliding like a magnet on a young beautiful lady I have ever seen in my entire twenty-seven years I lived on earth. She walks with her arms around Daniel Harrison as they walk towards my dad and mom's direction on the other side of the hall.
I immediately excused myself and walked away towards them with Cole right by my side.
As I get closer to them, dad notices me first "Oh! Here is my son Landon and his secretary Cole Lori" dad introduces us to Daniel.
We shake hands "Is nice meeting you Landon" Daniel says "And this is my daughter, Stella" he introduces the beautiful young lady to us.
I take out my hand to shake her's and that's when she finally looked up at me and it is the first time she looks up away from the floor since when she entered this hall,which kind of shows she is the shy type.
"Is a pleasure meeting you, Stella" I said.
She awkwardly places her hand on mine and it fits so perfectly like it was meant to be there forever.
"The pleasure is mine" she said so softly that is hardly above whisper and that made my heart skip a beat wanting more of her beautiful voice.
She attempts to move her hand away from mine but I hold it firm in mine, her eyes widens uncomfortably and she tries again, taking her hand from mine with a little bit of force this time just because I let her go if not she wouldn't have got her hand away from mine, and I am now craving for her touch so badly.
Dad and Daniel are talking about something but I am not following therefore I don't know what is about simply because all of my attention is on Stella. She just gets that energy that drags all mine and other people's attention even though she probably thinks the opposite. I can't just take my eyes away from her.
She is painfully beautiful that it hurts so badly.
"Landon" dad snaps making me get back to reality "Are you Okey?"
"Yes" I said almost immediately and then my gaze lands on Stella again like magnet.
Stella looks so uncomfortable and nervous from the way she kept robbing her palms on her sun yellow dress and playing with her cute pink nails. I think even mom notices because she leaves dad's side and moves towards Stella.
"Stella, would you like to have a snack with me?" mom asked with a kind smile on her lips.
Stella looks at Daniel for what seems like permission and Daniel just gives her a single nod, then she goes with mom.
My gaze follows them as they walk towards an empty table and take a sit.
" Landon" dad snaps me out of my thoughts again "No really what is wrong with you?"
"Nothing" I just said "Apologies but I will just have to be excused for a moment"
"Okey" dad permits and I walked away and Cole follows.
"What is actually wrong with you?" Cole asks when we sit in an empty table across the hall from mom and Stella "it is your first time you have ever been this distracted like that"
I ignore his question and just kept looking at Stella. She finally smiles genuinely for the first time since when I saw her just because a servent served her a piece of a chocolate cake, which surprisingly makes me so jealous of the piece of cake for bring out her sincere smile.
Cole follows my gaze and asks "Why are you staring at Stella like that?"
"Have you know her before?" I ask instead of answering.
Cole shakes his head "No, this my first time learning about her. Daniel never revealed Stella as his daughter before" he explains.
I nod, taking what he had said without taking my eyes off Stella as she takes her first bait of her cake and I suddenly want to be in the place of the desert fork.
"Don't tell me" Cole finally seems to realize "No, you can't"
That is when I painfully take my eyes off Stella and stare at Cole deadly because how dear he tries to tell me what to do.
"What did you just said?" I asked deadly, silently waiting for him to say it again.
"No, I just mean that she is obviously too young and you know the law" he explained.
I turn back my gaze on Stella who is happily talking with mom.
"i know that is why I will be making an agreement with Daniel"

The third meeting of the day just ended and I have four meetings left.
I looked at Cole who is at my right on the big table in the meeting room "What time is the next meeting?" I ask.
He looks at his tap "It will be in the next 1hour and 30minutes" he answers.
"Good,I will step out till then" I stand up and botten my suit jacket as I hurrily walk towards the door.
I stepped out of the meeting room but Cole also catchs up with me "where are you going to?" he asks.
"To make the agreement with Daniel" I answered straightly.
"Where you actually serious about it?"
"Never been so serious"
"But don't you think it is so soon? You don't even know her properly." he argues.
We stepped in the elevator "I have known enough already"
"Which is?"
"She is everything I need for the rest of my life" I answer honestly.
"Oh come on, how can you be sure sure on just your first meeting?" Cole sounds frustrated.
I turn to look at him right in the eye "To be sincere"
He also returns the same gaze right into my eyes "Yes, be sincere" waiting for my sincerity but I took my time to give it to him.
"I actually don't know either" I answer immediately when the door open and walked out.
"You got to be kidding me" he yells then follows me out of the building,finding Matt is already waiting for me.
"Wait, don't you think you will regret?" Cole says which made me stop on my track.
I face him "The only thing I regret now was sopporting dad on making the law of no marriage for women younger than twenty-two years" I said "That is the only thing stopping me from marrying her today"
And i walked towards the car which Matt olened the door for me and stepped in.
"Okey, at least let me come along with you?" Cole asks.
"No,I will like to go alone" the door closes and Matt takes his seat behind the wheel and drives away.
I know Cole is just worried that I might be mistaken on my decision but the thing that he still doesn't realizes is that I am hundred and one sure on my decision, and I have never been so sure and positive about my decisions like with this one.
I take out my phone and dial Daniel's number. He picks in the second ring "Daniel Harrison speaking"
"This is Landon Harper speaking" I also identify myself.
"Oh, Landon. What do I own this pleasure?" he says as his tone became politely.
"Are you free enough to spare me 30minuts of your time? I have something really important to discuss about with you." I inform.
"Yes, of course. I am free for the next 2hours" he said as expected.
"Okey then, I will be at your office in the next 10minutes"
"Okey" and I end the call.
In the next ten minutes, I am executed by Mr.Oliver, Daniel's secretary to his office room.
I stepped in the office, leaving me alone with Daniel.
"Landon" he greets like he is genuinely happy to see me "Have a seat" he leads me to the sitting area "What will like to drink?" he offers.
"No Thank you, I am good. I will just have to get straight to the matter" I politely rejected his offer.
He nods in understanding "Go ahead"
"I will like to ask for the hands of your daughter in marriage" I said.
Which made Daniel's smile falls and eyes widens "Pardon?" he asks like maybe he heard me wrong but no, he didn't. He heard just perfect but I will still repeat for him.
"I want to marry your daughter Stella" I repeat clearly this time around.
He seems to be processing my words and I let him.
After a long process "Why suddenly? You just met her yesterday and bearly talked to each other" he confusely asks.
"No words needed. I just laid my eyes on her and decided I want her as my wife in the future" I explained.
"Just like that?"
I nod "Yes, Just like that"
"But you know the law, she is just Eighteen years and will be starting university next month, so you can't marry her" he stated a fact.
"I know, that is why I said 'in the future'. We will get married in the next five years when she graduates" I explain the plan.
"What if I say no?" he dears.
I smirked "I wasn't asking in the first place. I am having her as my wife whether you agreed or not, you have no choice" I clarified.
He nods "Okey, so what are you expecting me to do now?"
I take out a fold paper from my suit jacket and I pass it to him "You need to sign this paper to confirm the agreement to you promising me your daughter to be my wife in the next five years and to also confirm my agreement to make you the vice minister of United States of America in the next five years after when I marry your daughter" I explain.
He looks at me in disbelief then looks at the paper to make sure that I am not joking with him.
No one will ever decline this offer especially someone like Daniel Harrison only if he is really stupid which he is not.
He recovers from the shock and clears his throat and asks "What made you confident that you will be able to maintain this your position for the next five years?"
I smirked "My father might step down from the president the next seven years but I will still be in my position no matter what happens the next thirty to fifty years. No one can take my position until I step down myself" I said with so much confidence because I am so sure of that with out any doubt like my decision of marrying Stella.
Daniel swallows then stands and walks towards his desk to take a pen.
He signs the paper in front of me and gives me the paper "Perfect, I will send you your copy with my signature tomorrow" I shove the paper back into my suit jacket and stand up "And I will like this to be in secret only between us until two days after the wedding. I can't risk Stella's safety" I politely warn my future father in-law.
"No need to worry about it" he insures.
"Good. See you around, future father in-law"
And I walked out of his office.
I finally have Stella as my fiancé but I now have to wait for five years and four days for Stella to be officially my wife.
Oh my God. I can't wait.
