Chapter: A Surprise Invitation
A few weeks had passed since Jay visited the world's biggest company.
She still remembered Kiefer, but she tried not to think about him too much.
Meanwhile, Kiefer, Lily, and Rose decided to take a small break from their busy lives.
Even though they were the CEOs of the biggest company in the world, they still loved spending time together like they did when they were children.
"This is the first time in months we are leaving work behind," Lily said as they packed their bags.
Rose smiled.
"Finally! No meetings, no reports, no serious faces."
Kiefer looked at her.
"Knowing you, this trip will somehow become more chaotic than work."
Rose laughed.
"Of course! A trip without chaos is boring."
The three friends went to a famous amusement park.
They walked around, enjoyed the rides, and for a while they were not CEOs — they were just childhood friends having fun.
Then Rose suddenly stopped.
"Wait..."
She saw someone familiar.
It was Jay.
Jay was also visiting the amusement park.
Rose immediately smiled.
"Oh, this is interesting."
Lily looked at her.
"Rose, what are you planning?"
"Nothing," Rose said innocently.
Kiefer already knew that expression.
"Rose..."
But before he could stop her, Rose walked toward Jay.
"Jay!"
Jay turned around in surprise.
"Rose? What are you doing here?"
Rose smiled.
"We came here for a trip. You should join us!"
Jay looked shocked.
"Join you? But..."
Rose grabbed her hand playfully.
"No excuses! Today we are not CEOs, and you are not a guest. Today we are just friends enjoying the amusement park."
Jay looked toward Kiefer.
He gave a small smile.
"She's right. You should enjoy the day."
Jay felt surprised.
The person she couldn't stop remembering was standing right in front of her again.
But this time...
She wasn't just watching Kiefer from a distance.
She was going to spend the day with him.
