Chapter 259: Visiting the Nakano Quintuplets!
.....
Outside, in the Real World.
59th Floor of the God Domain.
The Executives looked at one another, completely bewildered. First Seito had vanished into thin air, and then Kirukiru Amou and Shiro had followed suit.
Is there some kind of pattern to this? Everyone was deeply confused.
"They're probably all in the Divine Kingdom," Sora guessed, finally speaking up.
"Do they really need to stay there for so long?" Maple asked, tilting her head.
"Not sure," Sora shrugged. "But let's just get back to our own business for now."
Sora had to head back to check on the progress of the Safe Zone's construction. Since the 60th Floor Safe Zone was now active, a massive influx of players would be teleporting up. He needed to hand-pick a group of competent soldiers and guild members to manage the new floor.
As for Shiro... well, with Seito and Kirukiru Amou both there, she wouldn't be in any danger.
With that in mind, Sora turned and soared into the sky, leaving the area. The others exchanged glances and eventually dispersed as well.
Time passed slowly.
The next morning, 6:00 AM.
Seito and the two girls returned from the Divine Kingdom to the 60th Floor of the God Domain.
Shiro was slumped comfortably in Seito's arms, her face flushed with a delicate rosy hue. "Mmm~ Seito-nii is so amazing~" Shiro murmured in a soft, sweet voice.
"Shiro, do you want to rest for a while?"
Seito asked, petting her head affectionately.
"Mmm~!" Shiro nodded. "Let's rest here in the God Domain~!"
For those of them who had "True Logged In," there wasn't much difference between the Real World and the God Domain anymore. Seito nodded in agreement.
Shortly after, he and Kirukiru Amou escorted Shiro to the Cabin in the Woods on the 42nd Floor.
After tucking Shiro into the bed, Seito turned to Kirukiru Amou. "I'm logging off. You?"
"I think I'll log off too. Let's go out for a stroll," Kirukiru Amou replied.
With that, the two of them logged out of the game.
Real World, Seito's House.
Seito and Kirukiru Amou appeared in the living room just as they logged off. They spotted Ako sitting at the dining table, eating her breakfast slowly and gracefully.
"Ako-chan~" Seito walked over and gave her a gentle head pat.
Ako's stoic face softened into a slight smile.
"Seito-kun, a friend invited me to her place today."
"To a friend's house?" Seito looked surprised.
It was rare for Ako to actually have friends outside their circle.
"Who is this friend?" Seito asked.
"Yotsuba Nakano from Class C," Ako replied, as expressionless as ever.
"Yotsuba?" Seito blinked.
How did Ako become friends with her? Then again, thinking about Yotsuba's hyperactive, cheerful personality—the kind of girl who could strike up a conversation with literally anyone—it didn't seem so strange. Out of the Nakano quintuplets, she was definitely the easiest to get along with.
"How about Kirukiru Amou and I tag along with you?" Seito suggested with a grin.
"Okay," Ako had no objections.
Yotsuba hadn't said anything about not bringing guests, so it shouldn't be an issue. Once Ako finished her meal, the three of them headed out the door.
As they stepped into the hallway, they ran into Yukinoshita Yukino, who was just coming up from the staircase, holding a simple breakfast.
"Yukino-Chan~" Seito called out playfully.
"Hmph!" Yukino snapped. "Stop using that nickname!"
She glanced at the three of them, arching an eyebrow. "Are you guys not logging into the God Domain today?"
She looked genuinely puzzled. Judging by their casual clothes, they didn't look like they were planning to jump into the game.
"Nope," Seito nodded. "We're going out."
"Oh..."
Hearing that, Yukino felt a pang of longing. Going out? She wanted to go, too! But she couldn't bring herself to ask. Around Seito, Yukino acted like a timid mouse in front of a cat—she had so much she wanted to say, but the words just wouldn't come out.
"Why don't you come with us?" Kirukiru Amou invited casually.
She didn't really care one way or the other if an extra person joined. As for the Nakano sisters... well, if it came down to it, Seito could just treat them all to a nice meal.
"Sure."
"Where are you guys heading to~?"
Just as Yukino's response trailed off, a playful voice echoed from nearby. Everyone turned to look. Yukinoshita Haruno was peeking out from the doorframe, smiling as she sized up Seito and the others.
"Haruno, want to come with us?" Seito invited her with a smile.
"Sure~" Haruno didn't refuse. She stepped out of her apartment and skipped over to Kirukiru Amou's side. "Let's go, then~"
Seito, Ako, and Kirukiru Amou didn't mind, leading the group toward the stairs. As they passed Yukino, she hesitated for a second before turning and following the group as well.
Walking behind Seito, Yukino let out a quiet sigh. I really wanted to be alone with him today... she thought to herself.
"Yukino-Chan~ let's just finish our breakfast while we walk~" Haruno said, glancing back at her sister.
"Yeah." Yukino nodded, breaking off a piece of the bun she was holding and handing it to Haruno.
The two sisters nibbled on their breakfast as they walked. It was a carrot-filled bun, and it tasted surprisingly good.
"Yukino-Chan~"
Suddenly, Seito's voice appeared right beside Yukino's right ear. She jumped, startled, and stumbled back a few steps.
"What are you doing?! Do you know how scary that is?!"
"Don't be so dramatic~" Seito grinned. "Let me have a bite of that bun~"
"You..."
Yukino started to snap, but before she could finish, Seito leaned in and took a huge bite out of the bun in her hand.
Chomp!
"Delicious!" Seito gave a thumbs up.
Yukino was furious, but her face flushed a deep crimson when she saw exactly where Seito had bitten into the bun.
