Chapter 251: The Ultimate Duel Between Two Gods!
...
The player base was in an absolute frenzy. Two gods ascending in a single day—the implications were nothing short of earth-shattering!
In the real world...
The upper echelons of the Eastern Country were brimming with excitement. Upon receiving the news from their subordinates, laughter echoed through the halls.
"Truly magnificent. Another god has ascended among us."
Elder Yang was beaming. It had been years since he'd laughed so heartily.
"Indeed," an elderly man beside him added, a nostalgic look in his eyes. "The tide of this new era... the Eastern Country has grasped it firmly in our hands!"
The new era had begun, and through this pivotal opportunity, the Eastern Country was finally reclaiming the status it had held in ages past.
"I have to go deal with some other 'guests' now. I'll take my leave," Elder Yang said, his expression sobering. With two gods descending in a single night, the leaders of other nations certainly wouldn't be sitting still.
The others nodded in agreement.
God Domain, 59th Floor.
Seito's eyes were locked on Amou Amou. It wasn't just her aura that had changed—her skin now possessed a radiant, jade-like luster, seemingly flawless to the touch. She had always been beautiful, but now, she was breathtaking.
Catching Seito's intense gaze, Amou took his hand, and with a flash of light, they teleported into a secluded cave.
"Why bring me here?" Seito asked, slightly bewildered.
"Female players have the option to disable their protection settings within the God Domain," Amou replied softly.
Seito's eyes lit up with realization.
And so, their own private battle began...
The next morning, 5:00 AM.
Whoosh!
Seito and Amou appeared simultaneously in Amou's bedroom.
"To think that even after both ascending to godhood, we could keep that up for so long," Seito teased with a smirk.
"I didn't expect it either," Amou laughed, feeling surprisingly energized.
To battle until the following morning? Their newfound stamina as gods was truly on another level.
"What's your plan for today?" Amou asked.
"I need to pay Elder Yang a visit," Seito replied. Yesterday, when he and Amou ascended, he knew that even if he didn't reach out to Elder Yang, the old man would be looking for him. It was better to go to him directly.
"Understood. I'm going to solo the 59th-floor labyrinth boss," Amou declared. Now that she had ascended, she was no longer a mortal; she was a Deity. Taking on a boss was a simple matter—after all, to a God, all else are but ants!
"Alright," Seito nodded, and with a flicker of space, he was gone.
Dragon Kingdom(China), Beijing.
In a private residence, Elder Yang was sipping tea. His eyes were bloodshot, and heavy dark circles weighed under them—he had spent the entire previous day "negotiating" (engaging in high-stakes power politics) with world leaders who were suddenly far more polite.
Whoosh!
A figure materialized before him. Elder Yang looked up to see Seito sitting there with a gentle smile.
"You've arrived," Elder Yang said, his voice warm and weary.
"Yeah," Seito replied, casually pulling up a chair and making himself at home. "Elder, did anyone give you any trouble?"
The subtext was clear, and Elder Yang understood it immediately.
"No," he shook his head, smiling. "The Eastern Country isn't what it used to be. If they dare to act out now, they'll have to weigh the consequences against their own strength!"
"Understood."
Seito nodded. It was good that no one was stirring up trouble, though he had been half-considering taking a "stroll" through certain Western territories if anyone was getting restless.
"Just having that intention is enough," Elder Yang said, looking at Seito with genuine appreciation.
The fact that Seito had come to see him first thing showed just how much he cared about the Eastern Country. It gave the old man great comfort to see such a promising young man at the helm.
"Heh, don't praise me too much," Seito laughed, feeling a bit sheepish. The way he acted depended entirely on who he was facing, after all.
"Let's go. We'll have breakfast together, and after that, I really need some sleep. Being old, I can't handle all-nighters like I used to," Elder Yang said, standing up.
"Then I'll be in your care," Seito replied, standing as well.
8:00 AM, Chiba, Sakura Prefecture(Japan).
Seito used Spatial Shift to return to his living room. Sensing that both Amou and Kanade were already logged into the game, he retreated to his room, laid down on his bed, and donned his gaming helmet.
God Domain, 42nd Floor.
Upon logging in, Seito returned to the forest cabin. He hauled a rocking chair out to the porch and laid back with a satisfied sigh.
"Ah~ this is the life."
He pulled out the Godhead fragments he had collected: the Lightning Godhead Fragment, the Game Godhead Fragment, and the Nature Godhead Fragment.
He had already decided: the Lightning fragment would go to Shizuka Hiratsuka. Lightning was the most volatile of elements, and Shizuka's talents were perfectly aligned with it. As for the Game and Nature fragments, he would proceed with his original plan.
With that, he opened the Executor chat channel.
[Sei]: @Shizuka-sensei @Sora. Come over here for a moment.
[Shizuka-sensei]: Be there in a second.
[Sora]: OK.
Seeing their replies, Seito closed the panel. A moment later, two streaks of light materialized in the cabin.
"Come on out," Seito said without turning around.
Footsteps echoed as Shizuka and Sora stepped onto the porch. They didn't look at Seito; their eyes were immediately drawn to the shimmering fragments in his hand.
"A Lightning Godhead Fragment?!" Shizuka's beautiful eyes lit up.
"It's yours."
Seito tossed the fragment to her. Shizuka caught it, her fingers trembling slightly with excitement as she began to absorb its power.
