Chapter 70: Secretary Fujiwara: "Bad news! President! Our guild is being surrounded!"

....

Kaguya Shinomiya took another elegant sip of her tea.

She had named her organization the "Full Moon Guild." It was a fitting choice, given that the "Kaguya" in her name referred to the lunar princess of folklore. Her in-game title was equally lofty: Moonlight Goddess.

The guild's conference room was a "Who's Who" of elite students. Asuna, Yukino Yukinoshita, Haruno Yukinoshita, Eriri, Ai Hayasaka, Kirito, Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, Arisu Sakayanagi, Kakeru Ryuuen, Honami Ichinose, and Suzune Horikita were all present.

These students, hailing from the top tiers of Class B and Class D, formed the backbone of Full Moon.

"Yes, we managed to secure an Orange material," Asuna nodded. "Now, to craft a Gold-grade piece, we're only missing one base Orange equipment."

For a guild run entirely by students, their progress was staggering. Being only one step away from Gold-grade gear placed them among the server's elite.

Kaguya turned toward Kirito with a graceful smile. "We really have to thank Kirito-kun for his contribution."

Kirito: "..."

His lip twitched. Internally, the legendary "Black Swordsman" was cursing his luck. He had planned to remain a solo player, wandering the world as a rogue hero.

Instead, his sister had dragged him into this guild, and Kaguya had essentially "confiscated" his hard-earned materials for the guild's collective growth.

"By the way," Ryuuen said, leaning back on the sofa with his legs crossed, "your class has a legendary player, doesn't it? Why haven't you recruited Seito, or at least formed an alliance with his guild?"

The Class B students looked at Kaguya curiously. They were baffled as to why Class D hadn't leveraged their connection to one of the "Three Great Players."

The Class D representatives remained silent. How could they explain that Seito was... well, Seito?

Meanwhile, Haruno Yukinoshita scanned the room before surreptitiously sending a message.

[SunnyCat: Seriously, are you going to let me join your guild or not? I might not be a top-tier fighter, but my management skills are second to none!]

[Sei: What about your family's guild?]

[SunnyCat: My mother is handling that personally now.]

[Seito: Fine. Welcome aboard. I'll give you the position of the Seventh Seat of the Harbingers.]

[SunnyCat: Yay!~]

Haruno's eyes brightened. She quietly slipped toward the back of the room, resigned from the Full Moon Guild, and instantly joined Seito's ranks. Managing a family business in-game was tedious; she wanted to be where the chaos was.

[System: You have joined the guild 'The Harbingers'!]

[System: You have been promoted to a Senior Executive!]

[Seito: I've put an Executive Coat in the warehouse. Go ahead and grab it.]

Haruno suppressed her excitement, withdrew the coat, but didn't put it on just yet. "This style is so much better~" she whispered. "As expected of Seito-chan~"

She slipped out of the conference room. No one noticed that her guild prefix had changed—except for Ayanokouji, whose emotionless eyes followed her exit. He said nothing, preferring to remain a "bystander" in the unfolding drama.

Ten minutes later, as the discussion hit its peak, the door burst open. Chika Fujiwara, the only Class E student to join Full Moon, came running in, her face pale with panic.

"Bad news! President! Our guild base is being surrounded!"

The room went dead silent. Surrounded? Who would dare blockade them? They hadn't provoked anyone.

"Recall all personnel in the vicinity," Kaguya commanded sharply, rising to her feet. "Let's go see who thinks they can challenge us."

Outside the Full Moon Base.

Five minutes earlier, Seito and his army had arrived. They were met by Haruno, who was already waiting at the gates, now proudly wearing her white Harbinger coat.

The guild members marveled at her. Another Executive!

"Hehe, Kaguya and all her high-ranking officers are inside," Haruno reported with a playful wink.

"Good," Seito nodded. He turned to the sea of players behind him. "Everyone, this is the Seventh Seat of the Harbingers, HaruCat. She will be in charge of personnel."

"GREETINGS, EXECUTIVE!" the thousands of black-suited players roared in unison.

Haruno looked at the army—all in black suits—and then at the white-clad Executives. "We certainly don't look like the 'good guys' here," she teased.

"Do 'good guys' get the best loot?" Seito scoffed. "When villains look this elegant, the heroes become irrelevant."

He raised his hand and pointed toward the Full Moon headquarters.

"Go. Surround them!"

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The players moved with military precision, forming a dense, black-suited perimeter around the base. The Full Moon members guarding the perimeter were terrified. Seeing the overwhelming numbers and the sheer "mafia" aura of the attackers, Secretary Fujiwara had turned tail and bolted for the meeting room.
