The moment they crossed the threshold of the Gate of Chronos, the world didn't just change—it slowed to a crawl. The waterfall cascading off the mountain's edge looked like a frozen curtain of diamonds, and the birds in the sky were suspended like painted statues.
Inside the field, however, everything moved at a frantic, heightened pace. The air was saturated with a golden mist that tasted like honey and ancient dust.

Jud's Titan-Crag Toad underwent a grueling transformation. Leo fed it the "Earth-Marrow" refined by the Jade-Essence Lake. By the end of the second month, the Toad had grown to the size of a siege engine. Its skin was no longer stone; it was Living Continental Crust.
Month 3-4: The Skill Synthesis
Leo turned his focus to Grim. The Primordial Storm-Turtle was already powerful, but he was "broad" rather than "sharp."
Using the Founder's Research, Leo discovered a technique called Soul-Weld. He took the mechanical remains of the Iron Hawk (the drone he destroyed) and the Shadow-Essence of the Stalker.
Instead of building a machine, he used Grim's shell as a forge. He melted the "Anti-Life" metal of the Bureau and infused it into Grim's obsidian spikes.

"Grim," Leo said, standing at the highest peak of the Aerie. "We're going to fish for a star."
Leo used Sovereign's Mirror to mimic the gravity-pull of the Titan-Crag Toad. He combined it with Grim's Vacuum Collapse. Together, they created a tether of pure energy that reached out and snagged a fragment of the obsidian moon.
The fragment descended like a falling star. Grim didn't dodge. He opened his mouth and swallowed it whole.

They stepped through the gate.
The world sped up. The waterfall roared. And at the base of the mountain, a fleet of twenty Bureau airships was just coming into view, led by a massive flagship.
