Damon opened his mouth. His jaw felt very stiff. He took a slow, deep breath, trying to find the right words to express his deep shame.
"Camilla," Damon spoke. His deep voice was low, rough, and stripped of all its usual military pride. He sounded regretful. "I am..."
He did not get the chance to finish his sentence.
Camilla raised her hand sharply, cutting him off. Her eyes was cold and flat. She glared at him.
"Stop," Camilla interrupted him loudly. Her voice was sharp and hard.
She took a step closer to him, pointing a firm, shaking finger at his chest.
"You ruined my day," Camilla stated angrily, listing his terrible actions clearly for him to hear. "I was having a perfectly good, peaceful afternoon working on my business. And you completely ruined it with your crazy, violent entrance."
She pointed her finger toward her younger brother-in-law, who was watching them.
