Arc 2 chapter 27
While Albert was keeping Anos distracted Alex and the rest of the party who turned out to have recovered ran straight to the giant undead and when they finally reached the giant head, they were a bit surprised.
Alex: wow it's more bigger up close!
Kali: are all gods this big and only consisting of a head?
Sion: I think Zumo is a special exception.
Rachel: yeah it would be weird if all gods were just floating giant heads.
Alex: i heard that some gods have unique appearances and tend to look like monsters instead of Divine like biengs.
Rachel and Sion: huh?! You actually know something for once!
Alex: that's not funny.
Kali: can we please focus on this giant head that's emitting a heck of mana!
Sion: Kali's right! We need to get this over with. I'll stab it with this blumond and it will be finally over. (activating the blumond)
Zumo:... Young ones?
Alex: did it just speak!?
Sion: what?! There's no way... You're alive?
Zumo:... Not really more like... As long as that crystal comes close to any part of me... That part becomes alive.
Sion: how does that work?
Zumo: the sacrificed soul inside the crystal gives life to me and I use that chance to resist the dead version of me.
Kali: so that's how it works! That's why the storm always retreated when you got close to the giant blumond crystal in my village. It's because you don't want to hurt anyone and then rest for two years.
Zumo: you are right young beast-folk... The blumond in your village was my escape for a short time but now I can't find it anymore.
Kali: that's... That's because the village is destroyed and Anos took down the blumond and crushed it as well.
Zumo: I'm... I'm sorry young one...
Kali: it's okay... What happened is in the past now.
Zumo: I wish I had a stronger heart like yours... My... Greatest regret.
Sion: what happened actually? Did you really put a curse on the north?
Zumo:... Yes I did... I slaughtered all those millions of innocent people when I decided to turn my self into an undead.
Rachel: (burst to rage) but... Why?! How could you do that?! The rest of the north did not poison but you still did what you did! You committed an unforgivable injustice and genocide!
Alex: Rachel calm down!
Rachel: how can you tell me to be calm about this!
Alex: Rachel please...
Rachel:... Sorry I just...
Alex: it's okay I understand.
Zumo: unfortunately the young girl is right... I let my emotions get the better of me and look at me now... I'm bieng controlled by a maniac and I can't do anything about it... I'm a hopeless foolish God.
Sion: yes you are a stupid God.
Alex: geez Sion! Not cool man!
Kali: yeah that was mean.
Sion: but it's true though.
Rachel: I agree with Sion.
Zumo: yes... I agree with him too... If only I was given the chance to make things right.
Sion: you still can.
Zumo: is that so? I will do anything that I can at the moment.
Sion: good..... Kill your self.
Alex: huh? What the heck Sion!
Rachel: ok that's too much!
Kali: my village got destroyed soo I have no comment.
Alex: you can't just tell him to kill himself, come on!
Sion: Anos has control over his life force and controls him at will, if you got a better idea of breaking that link then I'm all ears.
Alex:... But...
Zumo: he's right, that man has complete control over my whole bieng and soon the blumond won't work anymore.
Sion: you see! This guy has to out himself quick!
Alex: No WAY! We gotta find another way! Not by sacrifice! Come on Sion, you're better than this! (grabs Sion by the shoulders)
Sion: (red face) ok! I get it! L... Let... Go of my shoulders!
Alex: (relieved) I'm glad you get it.
Kali: so his passion can charm even males.
Rachel: no... I think Sion is a special exception.
Kali: how?
Rachel: he easily folds when it comes to Alex.
Alex: good I hope we can find another way.
Kali:..... Uhhh... Alex, sorry to tell you this but that Zumo guy is... Already dead.
Alex: what?.... (looks at Zumo who his mana was completely gone and the empty shell of a skull was left).....
Sion:.... Alex?.... Look i—(trying to get close)
Alex: don't!.... Just don't... I don't wanna look at you right now.
Sion: (quietly) .... Sorry... I'm sorry.
Rachel: ok that was not cool and precise that guy chose to kill himself!
Alex: under Sion's suggestion.
Rachel: he was thinking for the better of everyone! He was just a bit... Dark?
Alex: so are you saying you support sacrifice?
Rachel: excuse me?!
Alex: I'm sorry... I really am... It's just that when we came here I was expecting a mindless undead but that guy was alive and fully conscious... I just can't stand the thought of someone loosing their life for something they didn't ask for...
Rachel: I know and understand that very well but you need to control your temper cuz you're too quick to lose your cool for some reason.
Alex: I know and I'm sorry.
Rachel: cool but I'm not the only one you should apologize to.
Alex: yeah... (walks up to a sad looking Sion who was scratching his right arm with his left)... Hey I... I'm sorry for flipping out on you.
Sion:.. It's okay, it's kinda my fault too... I just don't wanna see you guys hurt...
Alex: I get it... But don't ever rely on cruel methods ok?
Sion: (instantly hugs him) okay!
Alex: (man I'm such a jerk! I know all to well that Sion's emotional state depends on me and... Yet I took advantage of that) I'm sorry I lashed out no you like that.
Sion:... I'm sorry too(let's go of Alex)
Alex: I'm glad (walks towards dead Zumo) I'm sorry for your suffering but it ends now... Rest in peace Zumo.
Kali: since our mission is complete, I guess now we have to wait for Anos to run out of mana?
Rachel: yeah and since he's in transformation mode, he will run out quick.
Kali: let's just hope Albert's mana can keep up.
Sion: you don't have to worry about that.
Kali: huh? Why?
Rachel: because the moment Zumo died... Anos's fate was instantly sealed.
Kali: but Anos still has the Sage Transformation.
Alex: Albert can smash through that easily.
Kali: but how?
Sion: it's because he can, that's all you need to know.
Albert and Anos were clashing in the sky using the [flight] ability and none of them seemed to be getting tired, but things turned for the worst for Anos when suddenly the storm evaporated and the sky cleared instantly and the sun finally shined again and it was was very bright and beautiful in the sky and some small relaxing passed by to make the moment more pretty.
Anos:.... (looks at dead Zumo down below who was slowly bieng erased to nothing) I see...that was a clever move... Shit! How did I not see this coming! Do you have any idea what you just did?!
Albert: I don't care, we did what we came here to do.
Anos: you ruined the future of humanity and free will! Don't you get it!? You took away the power that was meant to make people in control of their fate! The world was going to change for the good!
Albert: destroying the current system is not gonna make people feel like they're free! It will just make a new system, one where the Red Hand is in control.
Anos: you don't know nothing! You just destroyed the only hope for this world!
Albert: more like we just performed a feet that will forever be remembered in history.
Anos: that's a nice touch, but it completely ruined my plan!
Albert: and what are you gonna do about it? Your infinite mana spam is gone now and a Sage type transformation consumes a lot of mana, you're not gonna last long.
Anos: (activates aura burst) I highly doubt you're gonna allow me to quit and walk away.
Albert: not a chance.
Anos: then let's finish this fight, even though the outcome is obvious.
Albert: yeah but... I'm not the one who's gonna fight you.
Anos: huh?
Albert: my buddies have a bone to pick with you. (the rest of the the party appears)
Alex: I won't hold back against someone like you!
Rachel: you shall be brought down to justice!
Sion: It was fun but things must come to an end.
Kali: you destroyed my village and my people! I will never forgive you, but tell me something... Was Power 6 really an evil person? Cuz she didn't seem that way to me when you guys were still hanging around the village before you destroyed it.
Anos: even I don't know much about Six but... One thing I can tell you about the Red Hand is that none of us wanted to be evil by choice.
Kali: then... Can I be her friend?
Anos:... If you can save her, but enough of that... Let's finish this.
Kali: yeah let's finish this!
Alex: let's go guys!
Kali, Rachel, Sion and Alex charged straight to Anos and Anos headed straight for them too. The final battle for Arc 2 finally begins.
