Everything felt meaningless. Second life? Maybe I was better of dead. Who was it that gave me this false hope?

The first light of the day illuminated our village. I scanned the eastern horizon, but didn't find the rising sun. It was hidden behind the rocky mountains surrounding our village.
I heard from my father that he found this place by coincidence after getting lost in the Creson Mountain Range during his hunt for monsters. This mountain range stretches across the entire Desire Province; home to monsters of various ranks. And this part of the mountain range had the minimum number of monsters, which pretty much all Qi Gathering Realm demons could handle. For those reasons, father decided to settle down here.
Later, my father found the way out of this place and brought in a few people to settle here as villagers. That's how this tiny village of ours came to be.
I wonder how father's hunting going behind those mountains.
The sun eventually peeked over the rocky mountains. But its golden brilliance couldn't wash away the crimson color of the sky.
