Humans. They always did things that other generations would hate. Why did they always do things they would regret? Things that would make them and other people suffer? Things that would do irreversible damage to something important? And many more things...
Humans. They always act like there is no tomorrow and don't think about their acts. By the way, there is no need to discuss their intelligence since they always achieve stuff people never even used to believe. Like who would've believed people would fly up to the moon and conquer lands that aren't on Earth?
Humans. They might be smart, really smart, unbelievably smart, impossibly smart; but there is a fact that they are an idiot as a flat brainned koala.
And now they do these shits in another universe? Wow, who would've thought?
-"Me-kun": Ah... What could've peopl- humans do tho?
-Terra-chan: Ohhhh boy you won't want to know the horror...
-"Me-kun": Are these THAT bad?
-Terra-chan: I don't know what you meant by that "THAT" but yeah, it's "THAT" bad.
-"Me-kun": Wow...
I didn't know what to say in a situation like this. I didn't know what humans did but if it's THAT bad... It's probably THAT bad and because of that I felt incredibly bad. If I had to describe that feeling I would've said "Imagine that you had killed the whole family tree of the person who acts so friendly to you.". Clearly I never killed people before but who knows what humans did before me? Probably Argos did and that was the reason why we were going to meet in the library.
I just met this cat-girl too and she was too kind to me. I hope she doesn't kill me tho.
-Terra-chan: Heyyy, no need to be sad! You probably did nothing wrong unlike other humans!
-"Me-kun": Yeah, I probably didn't. I don't know what they did tho.
I "probably" didn't. But I might have did too.
-Terra-chan: Alrighty! There we are.
-"Me-kun": WOAH!
While we were walking in the corridor it seemed like there was a turn in the left wall but it was not a real corridor but a short corridor-like extension that had only a door in it. A door to a library. But god damn that door was so good-looking!
-Terra-chan: Hehe, Argos worths knowledge so much and says good-looking things attract people.
-"Me-kun": So he thinks a good-looking door would make people read books?
-Terra-chan: Bingo! Even I, Terra-chan now read books.
-"Me-kun": Even tho I don't know how to read this door makes me want to read books!
-Terra-chan: Haha, you silly.
No joke, if this door was made like it seemed from outside it would cost a fortune. At least in our world because seemingly it had so much gold on it; from golden coats to golden parts, from its expensive-looking wood to its workmanship, from its aesthetic looks to eye-catching motives. I wasn't an arts person so I didn't have the right words but if even I can name that many things then it's clearly a masterpiece...
-Terra-chan: Look!
Terra got in front of the door and pushed it very lightly, the force seemed so light I thought the door wouldn't open. But to my surprise it did open.
-"Me-kun": Ho-how?
I was sure she used very little force but that huge door opened and it was still opening, like there was a mechanism for that. Come to think of that it definitely was a mechanism.
-Terra-chan: See? Argos put so much effort and time to make this door open like this. I barely put power to my pushing but it opened! When I asked Argos how much this door weighed, he said almost 1 ton.
I wasn't paying attention to what she was saying because behind the door library seemed endless. Like really endless. I cleared my mind and- wait? 1 ton? Like the 1.000 kilograms one? Or the 1.000.000 grams one? Both might be the same shit in our world but here there might not be one of kilos or grams. The door was indeed huge and probably heavy too but it didn't seem 1 ton, maybe my sense of weight was broken but...
-"Me-kun": 1 ton? How heavy is that?
-Terra-chan: Geez Me-kun! How can I put that into perspective like that? If Terra-chan is not wrong Argos said 1 liter of water weighed about 1 kilogram and Terra-chan remembers 1 ton is equal to 1.000 kilos sooooooo Terra-chan guesses it's 1.000 liters of water heavy.
...
-Terra-chan: Ugh, I guess you didn't understand. If I am not wrong 1.000 liters is 1 cubic meter.
-"Me-kun": I see...
Why did this world use the metric system? What were the chances of these? I knew Terra couldn't answer my questions so I had to find Argos to ask about this stuff. I had to learn the reason without mentioning or hinting about where I came, the "real world". I didn't have any reason to keep it secret but the safest option was to keep it secret.
-"Me-kun": Thank you for helping me find the library Terra-chan, are you coming in or not?
-Terra-chan: No problem but Terra-chan is going to pass on this offer for now so see you later!
-"Me-kun": Yeah, bye-bye!
And she left. There was I, "Me-kun" in front of the entrance of the library all alone. I had to find Argos in this endless maze of knowledge!
