Aria's cheeks were still warm, her heartbeat refusing to settle after everything that had just happened.
She looked at Rafael, whose gaze had not left her for even a second.
A shy smile appeared on her lips.
"You should... change your clothes first."
Rafael glanced down at himself. His shirt was completely soaked from the rain, droplets still falling from his hair onto the wooden floor.
"So should you," he replied quietly.
Aria nodded.
"I know."
For a brief moment, neither of them moved. It felt as though neither wanted to be the first to end the moment they had shared.
Finally, Aria took a slow step backward.
"I'll go to my room and change."
Rafael instinctively reached out and gently caught her wrist.
"So soon?"
There was a hint of disappointment in his voice that made Aria's heart soften.
She smiled helplessly.
"We're not the only people on this island."
He frowned slightly.
