The sound echoed through the room.Her footsteps stopped. Slowly, she turned around.Rafael was standing beside the door. His hand still rested on the lock.
For a moment, neither spoke. The atmosphere inside the bedroom suddenly felt different. Heavier and more intense.
Aria's heartbeat immediately quickened.
"Mr. Rafael..."
Rafael shook his head.
"No."
The answer surprised her.
"No?"
"Don't do that."
His voice was calm.
But there was determination inside it.
"Don't leave."
Aria froze. Rafael slowly stepped away from the door. From last few times every conversation with her ended exactly the same way. She said something mysterious. Something that left him even more confused and then she walked away leaving him alone with feelings he couldn't even explain.
