The camping trip had already been a disaster. At least according to Rafael Romano. The luxurious private retreat Noah had promised turned out to be nothing more than a normal camping site in the middle of nowhere.
Just trees, a lake, tents, and Noah's lies and now, as if fate wanted to make Rafael suffer even more, things were about to get worse.
The afternoon had passed surprisingly peacefully.
After hours of complaining, Rafael had finally stopped fighting reality.
Noah busied himself preparing a small campfire while Aria organized supplies. The forest surrounding them was calm. Birds chirped overhead. The lake reflected the golden sunlight beautifully. Some other people were also camping there. Everything looked peaceful.
Because trouble was already on its way. Noah's phone suddenly rang.
The sound immediately caught everyone's attention.
Noah frowned. Almost nobody contacted him during personal trips.
He answered the call.
"Hello?"
