His grandma shouted, "He fainted and you won, stop it! Stop! You three, make him stop. The fight is over," and demanded our grandpas.
They answered quite wisely, which I thought would never come from them. Akiko's grandpa said, "Your grandson was the one who suggested a fight till death with no rules. Now he should take responsibility for his words."
"We both agree with Genji," the other two responded.
"Why? Why are you doing this?" she asked with fear and worry on her face.
"You were the one who wanted this fight, saying your grandkid wants a fair match, and here it is, your fair match," Grandpa Makoto replied.
"If you won't stop him, I will stop him myself," she said. As she took a few steps, my grandpa replied,
"If you take even a single step from there, you will have to face us. Think! Don't act like your grandkid."
She stopped there after hearing that. During their small convo, I broke his right arm and left leg.
"That's enough. If you go even further, I won't let you into our house," a voice came from the stands. It was Keiko. She didn't shout, didn't demand, didn't order me; she just said those words with her polite, elegant, and cool manner.
I didn't have another choice but to stop, as I was already on her bad side. She walked up to the three gentlemen and said, "You should have some shame on you. How did you become captains with this mentality? A lady asked you for help and you rejected her, threatened her to worsen it?"
All three couldn't speak a single word. Keiko doesn't get angry, but when she does, everyone is afraid of her. This was the first time I saw her angry, and I don't get why everyone is afraid of her.
She then walked up to old lady Sumiko and said, "I called the ambulance. It's on the way. I hope this is the last time you let your grandson behave as he wished. I hope there won't be a next time."
Then the lady thanked her and came to us in just a leap from where she was, took her grandkid into her arms with a sorrowful look. It made me feel sad for her, but I couldn't help.
She left there with him, and I stood up and turned to the audience with my bloody hands, loose hair, and said, "Still! Anyone who has a problem with me coming late to trainings, with the way I look, the girl I love, come down. Let's settle it here and now, but with swords and not fists. Anyone?"
"Shut the shit and get your ass out. You are also going to the hospital, and don't make Keiko even angrier!" Akiko shouted at me.
All my hard-earned points got thrown in the bin. I turned back and started walking as I was ordered to do. Kenji came from the back to support me. After that, we talked about how far I went during the fight and how bad my injuries are.
The ambulance arrived. We let them go first as it was an emergency. Another one came after a few minutes, and I got in. Kenji accompanied me to the hospital.
After checking on me, the doctor issued some mild painkillers, even though I rejected them. Kenji left me, saying that he needed to meet the doctor about my condition.
I felt the warmth of the sun and the light on my eyes even when they were shut. I woke up from my sleep.
I could hear people's voices from the corridor heading towards me. They opened my room's door and came in. From the voices, I could tell that they were the three.
As soon as they entered, I could hear Akiko saying, "Baby, don't be like this guy. Even though he won, see, now he needs to be in the hospital for a month. When he gets back, he needs to train and win if he wants to come with us to China."
"Lower your voice. See, he's still sleeping and, don't worry, he'll manage it somehow," Kenji supported me.
"You are the reason why he's become like that. I don't want you to support him on his stupid decisions from now on, understood?" Keiko said with a firm and angry voice.
The three of them came in and made themselves at home. I still lay there with my eyes closed, even though the sun's hurting me.
"I closed the curtains last night when I visited him. Who opened those?" Keiko asked.
"Me. I asked the nurse to open those as sunlight is good for health," Akiko answered.
"When?" Kenji asked.
"Last night, while leaving after visiting him, you went to pick up a cab," she answered.
"So, how is the other one's situation? Is it serious?" Keiko questioned.
I don't know how their faces were, but from how Keiko asked the question, it seemed that she was a little concerned about him.
There were a few seconds of silence, and Kenji asked Keiko,
"You seem to be a lot worried about the other guy than your boyfriend. Why is that?"
"It's not that I am worried about him. It's just I feel sorry for him," she replied.
"And why would you feel sorry for him?" Kenji asked another question.
It's not like I don't want to know the reason, but I would appreciate them if they could have their convo at some other place. I want to enjoy my morning, with nothing to think, nothing to worry, just staring out of the window, sitting on the bed.
But these three just spoiled my morning. Don't they have any other work to do? I appreciate them for caring about me, but this is too much. They just visited me last night, even though the girls came when I was asleep.
I couldn't tolerate it any further, so I got up and said, "Hold your meetings or discussions or whatever outside my room. You are disturbing my sleep."
As I said those words while getting up, Akiko sprung upon me and started crying. I let her cry as she was so sentimental, but my shirt started to get wet as her tears are ruining it.
I gently pushed her back and said, "Don't cry. You are ruining my dress."
She got up and wiped her face and sat down in the chair and said, "You are not human. We were all worried all night, and when I get to see you, you push me back, and all you care about is your dress."
Akiko is just like that. She talks harsh but all her words and actions come from worry and love. Just a few seconds back, she asked her boyfriend not to be like me, and now she's just crying looking at me. She's just a tsundere? Or not.
On the other hand, Keiko didn't say anything; to be precise, she wasn't even looking at me.
"I don't get to change my dress whenever I need, and I feel cold due to that," I replied.
"Sorry, I didn't think about that. How are you? Is there any part that hurts?" she asked.
"Don't ask him questions. He just got up and you sprang up on him. Do you think he would be alright? Let's go out, let him rest," Kenji suggested.
I know that he would always be on my side. I do feel bad for him as he was getting hurt in the crossfire between me and his sister.
As they were about to leave, I asked Kenji to stay and the girls to leave. Akiko's face said, 'This guy is unbelievable. This guy won't change. No one can save him.'
Keiko's face was a little sad as she left.
At last, the room was silent. Kenji asked why I asked him to stay. I didn't have anything to say to him; I just wanted the girls to leave.
Keiko was disappointed in me. I don't know why, but I didn't feel like talking to her. I said these to him, and he replied that she wasn't disappointed in me and that she was worried about me and didn't sleep last night.
I judged her, again, based on my own thoughts.
"Why do you keep everything away from my sister? She's worried that you don't share anything with her, but share everything with me. She just wants to be the one you relay on first," he said.
"It's just a habit. I got used to sharing everything to you, that's all. Now go out and call her in," I said.
He complained about me abusing him and left.
Soon Keiko came in, shut the door slightly hard, steps carrying weight, showing her anger.
