Peter Parker had the easiest fight in the room.
The Earth-700 version of MacDonald Gargan wasn't a genetic nightmare. He was just a thug bolted into a massive, four-legged mechanical chassis. He had a pneumatic pincer for a left arm and a spiked steel club for a tail. No acid. No venom.
"You're not even green!" Peter yelled.
He vaulted backward off a concrete pillar. He flipped upside down, anchoring his boots to the tunnel ceiling.
"Brown?" Peter asked, gesturing wildly. "Seriously? You went with desert camo? We're in a Brooklyn subway! You belong in an Arizona terrarium!"
Gargan roared something unintelligible over the whine of his servos. His four mechanical legs dug into the concrete. He launched himself straight up the wall toward Peter.
Peter just sighed. He tapped his web-shooters. He fired a thick volley of webbing.
Gargan laughed. He swung his massive pincer to shear the silk in half.
The web wasn't meant to hold him. It splattered directly over the conductive metal joints of the pincer. Peter triggered the electrical charge.
A massive blue-white current surged down the web-line. It slammed into Gargan's unshielded chassis. Gargan didn't have the genetic enhancements to handle the shock. The high-voltage taser-web fried his bionic nervous system instantly.
The massive cyborg smoked. He peeled off the wall. He plummeted toward the floor.
Peter dropped down right beside him.
"Thanks for relying completely on cybernetics," Peter said cheerfully. "I don't have to feel bad about doing this."
Peter planted his boot squarely on the smoking chassis. He grabbed the spiked tail. He braced his shoulders and pulled. The thick metal joint snapped. Sparks showered the concrete.
Gargan screamed.
Peter didn't stop. He ripped the pneumatic pincer clean out of its socket. He tore the four mechanical legs off the chassis one by one. He tossed the scrap metal aside. He grabbed Gargan by his remaining, human right arm. He pinned the thoroughly dismantled mercenary to a structural pipe with a dense cocoon of impact webbing.
Across the cavern, Miguel O'Hara was dusting himself off.
Peter fired a web and landed next to the towering 2099 Spider-Man. "You good?"
Miguel looked down at him. He extended a massive, armored fist.
Peter blinked. He bumped his knuckles against Miguel's.
"Let's shut the machine down," Miguel growled.
They fired their webs. They launched themselves across the cavern toward the central collider platform.
The spatial rift below the platform was expanding. The ambient light had turned a violent, bleeding red. Gravity was beginning to fail. Random debris from other dimensions floated aimlessly through the cavern air.
Peter's spider-sense screamed.
"Watch out!" Peter yelled. He twisted violently in mid-air.
Miguel didn't have a spider-sense. He didn't react in time.
A translucent polymer tentacle whipped out of the darkness. It slammed into Miguel's back. The tentacle coiled tightly around his throat. It yanked the massive, 250-pound Spider-Man backward right out of the air.
"Another Spider-Man," Liv Octavius mused. "And this one doesn't even use web-shooters."
Liv hovered into the light. Her four biomass tentacles supported her weight perfectly. She was still holding her ceramic coffee mug in one hand.
Miguel snarled. He freed his right arm. His crimson talons flared to life. He slashed at the tentacle choking him.
A second tentacle blurred past his vision. It clamped down hard on his wrist.
Peter fired a rapid volley of taser-webs at the doctor. The translucent tentacles moved with terrifying, fluid speed. They swatted the electrified silk aside effortlessly. Standard webbing simply slid off the slick polymer surface.
"Sorry, kid!" the blond Peter yelled over the comms. He narrowly ducked a haymaker from Kingpin. "I didn't expect Liv to upgrade to neuro-polymers! Give me three minutes to put Willie down!"
We don't have three minutes, Peter thought. The dimensional tear was pulling harder. A chaotic zero-gravity field was expanding from the rift's epicenter.
Peter remembered the exact climax of the animated movie.
"Hey!" Peter shouted over the roaring machinery, dodging another tentacle swipe. "Take him into the rift zone! Use the zero-G!"
The blond Peter hesitated. "Are you sure about that?"
"Trust me!"
The blond Peter reached into his belt. He held up the glowing USB override key. He waved it directly in Fisk's face.
Fisk roared in pure rage.
The blond Peter dove backward off the platform. He plummeted directly toward the swirling vortex of the multiverse tear.
Fisk didn't hesitate. He ripped a massive steel grate straight out of the floor. He hurled it into the zero-gravity field. Fisk leaped after it. He landed heavily on the floating steel plate. He rode the momentum directly across the open air, closing the distance instantly.
Did he just Mercenary Tao that steel plate? Peter thought wildly, ducking under another strike from Liv.
Fisk tackled the blond Peter in mid-air.
A massive, blue city bus drifted slowly out of the spatial rift. Fisk slammed Peter backward through the side windows of the bus. They tumbled through the floating seats. Fisk pinned Peter against the ceiling. He raised a fist the size of a cinderblock. He began to pummel the older Spider-Man mercilessly.
The bus drifted closer to the event horizon.
"You think you can stop me?" Fisk bellowed, his voice raw. "You think you can take them from me again?!"
Fisk pulled his arm back for a lethal strike.
"Wilson?"
Fisk froze. His massive fist trembled.
A spectral projection flickered in the swirling colors of the rift. It was Vanessa Fisk. She was holding a young Richard Fisk by the hand. They were looking at the Kingpin of Earth-700 in absolute horror.
"What are you doing, Wilson?" Vanessa's voice echoed through the cavern.
Fisk's face crumpled. His entire posture collapsed. He reached a shaking hand toward the projection.
The blond Peter didn't waste the opening.
He brought both boots up. He kicked Fisk squarely in the chest. The massive force launched the Kingpin backward out of the floating bus. They tumbled out of the zero-gravity field.
The blond Peter shot a web line. He pulled himself completely out of the rift zone. He intercepted Fisk in free-fall.
"Spider-Man didn't kill your family, Willie!" the blond Peter yelled. He drove a brutal right hook into Fisk's jaw. "You did!" He threw a left hook. "And they're going to run away from you in every single universe!"
They crashed heavily onto the solid concrete floor of the cavern. The impact cratered the floor. Fisk went completely limp.
The blond Peter rolled to his feet. He looked across the cavern. Liv was still holding Miguel hostage. She was actively hunting the younger Peter with her remaining tentacles.
The older Peter looked down at the unconscious, 400-pound Kingpin.
He bent his knees. He grabbed Fisk by the lapels of his ruined suit. He spun once, building immense centrifugal momentum. He hurled the Kingpin like an Olympic hammer.
"Special delivery, Liv!" the blond Peter yelled.
Liv looked up. Her eyes went wide. She instantly dropped Miguel. All four of her tentacles snapped forward to form a protective cage over her head.
The 400-pound human projectile slammed into her at highway speeds.
The tentacles buckled. Liv and Fisk crashed into the far wall in a tangle of limbs and polymer. Liv slid down the concrete, thoroughly unconscious.
"Alright, boys," the blond Peter panted. He dusted off his hands. "Spider-Men save New York. Again."
He fired a web and pulled himself up to the primary console. He ripped the casing off the relay panel. He shoved the custom USB key into the port.
The console lit up. A massive, glowing green button appeared on the touch screen.
"We've got a big green button," the blond Peter said over the comms. "Anyone want the honors?"
Peter landed on the platform next to him. He nodded at the console. "Your universe, old man, you do the honor"
"I'm twenty-six," the blond Peter muttered.
He slammed his palm down on the green button.
The twin collider rings shrieked. The energy beams sputtered and died. The massive spatial rift collapsed inward with a deafening crack, vanishing completely.
