SF Chapter 136: Paranormal Activity
The weekend had come, and everyone had gathered to watch the horror movie Daniel had written, starring Claire and Phil.
"Wow, you decorated the whole house," Mischa said as she arrived with Lexi, looking around at the place she had been so many times.
Dani's house was set up with the typical red premiere ropes and the usual red carpet. There was even a poster for the movie.
Daniel made a wronged face. "If it wasn't for my sister vetoing it, we would be doing this in a real theater, like a real premiere," he exclaimed.
Claire, who had approached the three of them, scolded him. "That would be too much, Dani."
"And thank you for coming," she added.
Haley approached as well.
Mischa gave a small wave. "Hi, Haley."
"Mischa, Lexi," the girl smiled. "Please don't judge me for my crazy mom," Haley commented about the movie.
Claire made a flat face. "Haley, do you want to lose some points?"
"No, Mom!" She quickly turned to her, looking anguished, and then called the two girls over to a corner so she wouldn't argue further with her mother.
Dani narrowed his eyes at Claire. "Sis, you always scold me for wanting to solve everything with money. Now you're doing the same with Haley - just with points."
"How is that any different?"
"Mine is parenting," Claire stated, defending herself.
Cam, who had arrived earlier to help with the decorations - especially since he also considered it somewhat his film, even if he only had a small role - appeared at the entrance with a blonde woman.
"Whoa, this house is fabulous," Sal mentioned, looking around.
"Hi, Sal," Mitchell said as he also approached the entrance. He held Lily almost protectively away from the blonde.
Sal was somehow jealous of the baby.
Dani greeted her as well. "Hello, Sal."
The blonde gave him a hug. "Dani!" Sal exclaimed but was soon pulled away by Cam to go see something.
Dani turned to his brother. "Mitch, how about you introduce Sal to Alan?"
"What?"
"Alan's been in a bit of a bad mood since a few days ago, when we saw his supposedly gay ex-wife with Jake's soccer coach," he explained.
"Oh my God," Mitchell said, astonished by the news. "But why do you think Sal-" he started to ask, but seeing his brother's expression, he stopped. "Never mind."
[Cam and Mitchell commentary]
"Sal is our very best friend in the whole wide world," Cam stated, sitting on the couch in Dani's house.
Mitchell added, "The reason we love her so much... is that she has absolutely no inhibitions."
"But she can be a bit..."
"A slut," Cam finished this time.
"Like a female version of Charlie," Mitchell gave as an example. "Which, by the way, she already hooked up with."
[Commentary ends]
Charlie, Lisa, and Alan arrived shortly after, and Dani immediately pulled Charlie aside to talk about the idea - also because he knew Charlie had slept with the other blonde.
A few more guests started to arrive.

"Dani, I didn't know you also invited Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried to come," Haley whispered to her uncle.
They had gone to talk to Claire about something and were now heading back to the girls' circle; besides Amanda and Lindsay, Mischa and Lexi were also chatting among themselves.
"I went to Lindsay's premiere this week, Freaky Friday. I invited her to come here," Dani explained, "and Bro-manda is my bro."
Haley pouted for not being invited, but she changed the subject. "How come you don't have male friends?" she complained.
Dani made an outraged face. "I have male friends," he pointed to the group of nerds plus Bernadette. "See?"
Leonard, Bernadette, Raj, Sheldon, and Howard were talking in a corner.
Haley rolled her eyes. "One is family. Another can't talk to women. And the other two are weirdos. Besides, they're too old for me."
"I'm asking for someone I can talk to," she said suggestively.
"Eh," Dani shrugged, "in a few days you'll be back with Dylan. I've seen this movie so many times it's not even funny anymore."
"I will not," Haley denied, while her uncle made a 'yeah, right' face to her.
But as soon as he joined the group, he said, "Girls, I need your services."
All four of them looked at him.
He explained what he wanted. "I just need you to praise the movie. You don't need to praise the acting, since it might come off a little forced - after all, you're professionals."
"Not confident in your movie?" Lindsay raised an eyebrow.
"I think the movie turned out amazing, but my opinion is very biased," he remarked. "I just want my sister to feel happy about it."
"Aww, isn't he the cute little brother?" Mischa teased.
"You're wrong," Dani scoffed. "I'm the cutest little brother!"
"And what's going to be our payment?" Lexi chimed in, nudging him as well.
"I will pay with kisses," he smirked, but then turned to Amanda. "Not to you, bro. I don't kiss my bros."
"But you're included, Lindsay, now that you and Aaron are no more!"
Lindsay just rolled her eyes, while Lexi snorted, "Who wants that?"
But before he could answer, Claire approached the group. "Dani, can we start the movie?"
"Sis, can't you see I'm trying to woo some girls here?"
Claire stared at him flatly and pulled him by the collar.

Everyone then headed to the house's screening room. Most of them were impressed by the luxury and the place itself.
"Wow, very comfortable," Charlie approved, but soon whispered to his brother, "You did clean this place, right?"
Dani nodded. "Yes, bro. And I prefer other places. Why would I keep doing it in the screening room?"
Lexi, who was passing by, paused for a moment before continuing on her way.
[Dani, Lexi and Mischa commentary]
"I think we've done it in the screening room more than in the bedroom," Dani said thoughtfully.
"All Lexi's fault," Mischa agreed.
Lexi just sat beside them without saying anything.
[Commentary ends]
Dani stepped to the front and said, "Thank you all for coming."
Seeing that everyone was already seated, with popcorn, snacks, and drinks nearby, he announced, "Now, we're going to start the movie, Paranormal Activity."
