Chapter 72 - Ch49- Arrival at hotel...

CHAPTER 49 — London Arrival

The two private jets touched down almost simultaneously on the long runway of London's private aviation terminal.

The tires screeched lightly against the ground before slowing into a smooth roll.

Inside the cabin, the seatbelt signs blinked off.

Kevin stretched dramatically.

"Finally."

Ash rolled her eyes.

"You slept the entire flight."

Kevin shrugged.

"That's called energy conservation."

Meanwhile in the other jet, Daisy leaned toward the window as the aircraft taxied toward the terminal.

The airport lights reflected on the glass.

She whispered softly.

"London…"

Joong smiled beside her.

"You made it."

Lyra was already observing the airport architecture again.

Alex noticed and chuckled quietly.

"You're studying the terminal design already."

Lyra shrugged.

"Habit."

At the front of the cabin, Care stood up calmly.

Across the runway, Cole's jet had already stopped.

Through the windows she could see the others stepping down the stairs.

Cole glanced toward her jet.

Their eyes met briefly.

No words.

Just the silent understanding that had always existed between them.

Then the cabin door opened.

Cold London air rushed inside.

The Private Terminal

Luxury cars waited outside the building.

Security personnel stood nearby.

The group stepped out one by one.

Kevin immediately looked around.

"Okay this airport is bigger than my school."

Ash smacked his arm.

"You say that about everything."

Ben and Nova were already discussing schedules again.

"The conference starts in two days," Ben said.

Nova nodded.

"We should review the hospital panel tomorrow."

Daisy was staring around quietly.

Joong noticed.

"Still nervous?"

She nodded.

"A little."

Joong gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

"You'll do great."

Meanwhile Lyra and Alex were looking toward the city skyline far in the distance.

Even from the airport, London's silhouette was visible.

Historic.

Powerful.

Alive.

Then the convoy arrived.

Five black luxury cars.

Drivers stepped out.

Cole glanced toward the group.

"Hotel's waiting."

Kevin clapped his hands dramatically.

"Let's go see rich people things."

The Drive Through London

The city passed outside the windows.

Historic buildings.

Stone bridges.

Crowded streets glowing with lights.

Red buses rolled through traffic.

Daisy stared out quietly.

"It feels like a movie."

Joong smiled.

"Wait until you see the conference."

Meanwhile in another car…

Kevin and Ash were still arguing.

"I told you that bag was too heavy," Kevin said.

Ash glared.

"And I told you it's called packing properly."

Kevin smirked.

"You packed enough clothes for a fashion show."

Ash crossed her arms.

"And you packed three jackets."

"It rains here."

"It rains everywhere."

Nova and Ben sat in another car quietly reviewing presentation slides.

Cole and Care were in the final car.

Neither of them spoke much.

Both simply watched the city lights.

Leadership sometimes looked quiet like that.

The Hotel

The cars stopped in front of an enormous building.

Glass walls.

Golden lighting.

Tall doors guarded by security.

Kevin stepped out and looked up.

"…This isn't a hotel."

Ash followed his gaze.

It looked more like a palace.

Inside the lobby—

Marble floors stretched across an enormous hall.

Crystal chandeliers hung from a ceiling almost four stories high.

Security teams stood everywhere.

Reception counters lined the far wall.

And the lobby…

Was packed.

Not with tourists.

With powerful people.

Global CEOs in tailored suits.

Tech billionaires surrounded by assistants.

Famous athletes talking with sponsors.

Doctors from the world's biggest hospitals.

Media teams.

Security agents.

Nova looked around slowly.

"This event is… huge."

Ben nodded.

"This isn't just a gala."

Cole spoke quietly.

"It's a global summit."

Kevin whispered dramatically.

"…I feel poor."

Ash elbowed him.

"Shut up."

The group walked toward the reception.

But as they crossed the lobby—

Something strange happened.

A cluster of executives near the elevators suddenly stopped talking.

They were staring.

Not at the group.

At Care.

Whispers spread quietly.

One voice barely audible.

"…Is that her?"

Another voice answered.

"It is."

Then someone said the name.

"Carolyn Patel…"

The whisper traveled like electricity through the nearby crowd.

Care heard it.

Of course she did.

But her expression didn't change.

She simply continued walking.

Completely ignoring them.

Kevin noticed the tension though.

"…Why are people staring?"

Cole answered calmly.

"Because they know exactly who she is."

Care had already reached the reception desk.

The receptionist looked stunned for a moment.

Then quickly recovered.

"Miss Patel. Welcome."

Kevin leaned toward Ash.

"…Okay I really need someone to explain the rich hierarchy here."

Ash smirked.

"Later."

Meanwhile across the massive lobby—

Another group had just entered through the opposite doors.

They moved differently.

Confident.

Sharp.

Dangerously observant.

Ten individuals.

Some dressed casually.

Some in suits.

Some carrying laptops.

Their energy felt completely different from the corporate crowd.

More unpredictable.

More calculating.

These weren't just professionals.

These were strategists.

Hackers.

Athletes.

Entrepreneurs.

The group from Section E.

At the front walked two figures.

A tall man with calm, sharp eyes.

Keifer.

Beside him—

A woman with an almost amused expression.

Watching everything.

JJ.

They stepped into the lobby together.

And immediately noticed something unusual.

Across the room…

Another group stood together.

Ten people.

Balanced.

Confident.

Each of them clearly powerful in their own field.

Keifer slowed slightly.

JJ followed his gaze.

"Interesting."

Keifer asked quietly,

"Who are they?"

JJ scanned the room.

Then her eyes landed on Care.

Recognition flashed.

"…That's Carolyn Patel."

Keifer raised an eyebrow.

"The youngest CEO?"

JJ nodded.

"And the Trinity hospital founders are with her."

Keifer looked again.

Cole.

Nova.

Ben.

Alex.

Kevin.

Ash.

Lyra.

Daisy.

Joong.

Ten people.

Another complete group.

Almost like a mirror.

Meanwhile…

Kevin noticed them too.

He leaned toward Cole.

"…Why does that group look like they could hack the Pentagon?"

Nova glanced over.

Her eyes sharpened immediately.

"Because they probably can."

Ben crossed his arms.

"That's Section E."

Alex looked interested.

"The famous problem solvers."

Lyra tilted her head slightly.

"Strategists."

Care finally glanced across the lobby.

For a brief moment—

Her eyes met Keifer's.

Then JJ's.

Two groups.

Two worlds.

Standing in the same room.

Neither had spoken.

But the tension in the air was unmistakable.

Kevin whispered dramatically,

"…This feels like the beginning of something."

Cole answered quietly.

"Probably is."

Across the lobby—

JJ smiled slightly.

"Looks like we're not the only dangerous minds here."

Keifer nodded calmly.

"Interesting."

The two groups continued checking in.

Still silent.

Still observing each other.

But everyone in the lobby could feel it.

Something important had just begun.
