As Evangeline continued to stare at the ceiling blankly, something wiggled under the blanket.
Moments later, the girl with black hair and turquoise eyes emerged from within, rubbing her eyes. Evangeline turned her gaze to the girl and blinked a few more times.
The girl sighed.
"I know what you want to say. You are a sailor from the kingdom who somehow ended up in this room, correct? Don't ask how I know all this because explaining that will be a bit complicated. For now, we need to—"
"How are… you fine? You were dying just now." Evangeline muttered absentmindedly, cutting the girl off. "And wasn't that window broken? How did it go back to normal?"
Initially, Evangeline had assumed she had been teleported to a room in the castle where the girl had been sleeping. It was strange that a person lived in a kingdom devoid of people, but she thought maybe there was some explanation for this.
