Leon pushed open the hospital door, the memory of his last encounter flashing through his mind—Naina, her team, and the bloodshed that followed. The tension still lingered in his chest, but he suppressed it and stepped inside.
"…Yeah," he muttered.
"That meeting didn't end well."
The air inside was thick with rot, heavy enough to choke on. Zombies wandered aimlessly through the corridors, dragging their broken limbs, but the moment they sensed him—everything changed.
They lunged.
Leon moved instantly. His fist smashed into one zombie's skull, cracking it open like glass, brain matter splattering across the wall. Another came from the side—his blade flashed, slicing through its throat, blood bursting out in a hot spray.
More followed.
Always more.
"No matter how many I kill…"
"…they just keep coming like damn insects."
A zombie leapt at him from the front—Leon sidestepped, grabbed its head, and slammed it into the wall. Bone shattered, the skull caving in as its body dropped lifelessly. Another tried to bite his arm—he drove his knife upward, piercing through its jaw and into the brain, twisting it before pulling it out.
The body collapsed, twitching.
Leon exhaled slowly.
"…Annoying."
He decided to check the basement first. As he descended, the sounds changed—deeper, more violent, like something far worse than normal zombies lurked below.
When he entered—he stopped.
A massive creature stood there.
At least 10 feet tall, its body covered in green scales, thick vines wrapping around it like armor. Its face was completely hidden beneath layers of leaves and twisting roots—except for its glowing eyes.
And it was fighting.
Zombies swarmed it, but they stood no chance. Vines shot out like spears, piercing skulls clean through, lifting bodies into the air. Then—
CRUNCH.
The vines tightened.
Bodies burst apart mid-air, bones snapping as blood rained down in thick streams. Some zombies were ripped in half, their torsos falling to the ground while their legs twitched separately.
Leon narrowed his eyes.
"…That's him."
"The plant-user from before…"
He watched carefully, analyzing every movement.
"His control is insane…"
"Even one-on-one, I'd lose."
The creature moved effortlessly, like it wasn't even trying. Zombies piled up around it, forming a mountain of corpses.
Leon turned away.
"Not picking that fight today."
He returned to the first floor and began searching room after room, opening doors, checking corners, scanning every detail—but found nothing. The silence was frustrating, almost mocking him.
Then he found a map.
He stared at it.
Again.
And again.
Something felt off.
Then—he saw it.
Tiny red dots. Almost invisible.
"…Hidden markers?"
One of them pointed directly to the director's office.
Without wasting time, Leon ran.
He entered the office—
GRAAAAH!
A zombie lunged from behind.
Leon didn't even turn. His arm twisted backward unnaturally—
CRACK.
The zombie's neck snapped instantly, its body dropping like a puppet with cut strings.
He locked the door and began searching.
Drawers. Cabinets. Shelves.
Nothing.
"…Where the hell is it?"
Then—
CLICK.
His foot pressed something.
A hidden mechanism activated, and a door opened behind him.
"…Jackpot."
He stepped into the hidden chamber.
A suitcase sat in the center.
Leon opened it slowly.
Inside—two items and a note.
Blood Enhancer
Only for RH-Null blood. Failure = Death.
Antikiller
Used against mutants and abominations.
Leon frowned.
"RH-Null…?"
Behind him stood an advanced experimental chair. Tubes, scanners, injection ports—everything looked automated.
Leon smirked faintly.
"…Well, let's see if I survive this."
He sat down, inserted the serum, and placed his thumb on the scanner.
"Blood sample detected."
"Injecting serum."
"Error. Blood type not matched."
Leon's expression changed.
"…Wait—"
"Initiating blood removal."
Pain exploded through his body.
"AAAAAAAAAARGH!!"
His veins felt like they were being ripped apart from the inside. Blood drained rapidly from his body, flowing through the tubes as his skin turned pale… then lifeless.
"Bone marrow extraction initiated."
"NO—!!"
The pain went beyond physical—it felt like his very existence was being erased. His body shrank into a hollow husk, his vision fading into darkness.
"Inserting RH-Null blood."
Warmth slowly returned.
"Blood Enhancer serum injecting."
"Process started…"
"Complete."
Leon's eyes snapped open as he gasped for air.
"What the hell…?"
"I… saw myself die…"
Suddenly—
WHOOSH!
A vine shot toward him.
"Give it back."
Leon turned.
Damen stood there, rage burning in his eyes.
"My blood enhancer."
Leon ignited light blue flames in his hand.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Attacking without a reason?"
"I'll ask one last time…"
"Where is it?"
Leon didn't answer.
Instead—he summoned a fireball, his last reserve, and threw it.
WHOOSH—
The flame pierced straight through Damen's arm.
"AAAAAARGH!!"
"My hand!"
"You bastard! I'll kill you!"
Damen stepped back, trying to escape.
Leon rushed forward with his knife—
But Damen disappeared into the shadows.
"…Tch."
"Next time."
Exhausted, Leon returned, locked the room, and began meditating. After recovering slightly, he gathered his things and drove back to the UNICORN facility.
As he stepped inside—
A massive hand shot toward him.
This time—
Leon injected the Antikiller.
"AAAAAAAAAARRRGHHHH!!"
The creature roared violently, its body twisting unnaturally. Veins bulged, skin cracked, and its massive form convulsed as something inside it began collapsing.
Flesh tore open.
Blackened blood spilled out.
Its movements slowed—then stopped.
Leon stood still.
Watching.
Cold.
His earpiece rang.
"Leon?!"
"What was that?!"
"The mutant…"
"…is dead."
Then—
A voice echoed.
Deep. Ancient.
"You humans…"
Leon froze.
"…destroyed your own world."
The air grew heavy.
Pressure descended.
Crushing.
Leon looked up—
A massive being stared down at him, its eyes impossibly large, filled with something beyond hatred.
"You drained the life of this planet…"
"…now face what comes next."
The gravity intensified.
Leon dropped to one knee, his bones creaking under the weight.
"Fuck… this pressure…"
Then—
A portal opened beneath him.
"What the—?!"
He fell.
Blinding light.
Then—
Impact.
Leon landed upside down on a tree branch.
"…You've gotta be kidding me."
The branch snapped.
He fell straight into bushes.
RUSTLE.
He stood up slowly, brushing leaves off his body.
"…Out of all places…"
Then—
He saw her.
A girl… bathing in a clear pond.
Their eyes met.
Silence.
Her face turned red instantly.
"You pervert!!"
Leon raised both hands quickly.
"Hey—HEY—wait!"
"I literally fell from the sky!"
She floated upward, water swirling around her body, forming into clothes instantly.
Leon blinked.
"…Okay… that's definitely new."
SLAP!
He was sent flying into a rock.
"Are you trying to kill me?!"
The girl landed gracefully, her eyes blazing with anger.
"You're dead."
Leon stood up slowly, wiping blood from his lips, a faint smirk forming.
"…Yeah."
"People have said that before."
