Chapter 14 - The Thief of Eras and the Wine of Greatness

The other thing that caught my intense interest was the presence of numerous literary masterpieces from my original world that were completely missing in this one.

I didn't know if they were lost because they were never written here, or because time and the Spell had erased their trace, but I wasn't about to miss such a golden opportunity.

From there, my journey into literary "theft" began;

I rewrote many famous books from my world and attributed them to myself. Intellectual and philosophical works like

"The Prince" by Niccolò Machiavelli,

"The Art of War" by Sun Tzu,

and "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius.

As for novels, I resurrected series like "Harry Potter,"

"The Lord of the Rings,"

and even "Naruto" and "One Piece."

Surprisingly, "Naruto" was one of the most popular works;

it seems a world centered around ninjas was extremely attractive to these Awakened.

As for "One Piece," it was said that most members of House Night had watched it, and many of their followers expressed immense admiration for it; they even sent me some gifts

—hahaha... I think their life's dream is for the entire world to turn into vast seas.

My fame did not stem from mystery, but from a sweeping popular spread that this world had never witnessed before.

The name 'Orion' turned into a brand that filled streets and taverns; my stories and works were not just read, but were quoted in folk songs, and their cheap printed copies were sold on the sidewalks of poor areas and remote colonies.

During these five years,

I had a constant routine: escaping boring lessons and misleading the maids tasked with guarding me.

I often sneaked into the Throne Room, where my mother spent most of her time, to play "Death Game, wich also known as Death of a Tyrant with her or to gift her the latest books I had "authored."

A year ago, in addition to teaching me various sciences, she began training me in swordsmanship herself. She took control of the corpse of a child my age and gave me no instructions; I would go once every three days to receive a brutal beating from her monstrous puppet, then leave quietly with tears filling my eyes. However, I watched myself improve bit by bit—who am I to object to the Queen's cruelty?

Today is an exceptionally special day;

I finally found the secret storage where my mother's maids hide her private drink.

Five years have passed since that first dinner where I tasted a sip of it, and I couldn't forget that refreshing delight. I

later learned from my sisters that it is a royal drink made solely for my mother from the blood of Great Creatures mixed with the finest wines.

After lessons ended,

I returned to my current room—an extraordinary room that was formerly a storehouse for artifacts from the Dream Realm. While exploring it,

I found a secret passage leading to a vast network of tunnels beneath Ravenheart. I begged my mother until she allowed me to make it my primary room, and since then, the real fun began.

I would make excuses like being tired or needing solitude for "inspiration" for my books, ordering everyone not to disturb me,

and then my adventure in those passages would begin.

Yesterday, I discovered an opening leading to the royal drink storage, and today is the time for execution.

I slipped through the passages until I reached the desired entrance.

I kicked the ice wall with my foot and stepped back two paces, as a mechanical sliding sound rang out and the wall made of "Diamond Blue Ice" began to recede. It is legendary ice that neither melts nor breaks, but I knew its secret.

A narrow opening formed, and I crawled inside until I reached another wall, which I opened in the same way. Finally... the room was filled with treasures, but my eyes fell only on the rows of "Celestial Drink." I grabbed the first bottle, opened it, and drank half of it in one go.

"In the moment the liquid touched my tongue, I felt an explosion of pure pleasure unlike anything I had ever known. It wasn't about power, but an enticement for the senses; a taste that flowed through my veins like nectar extracted from dreams of luxury. The blend between the coldness of the ice and the heat of the royal blood created a strange balance that made every cell in my body tremble with ecstasy. All worries vanished, replaced by an overwhelming sense of serenity and opulence, as if I were drinking a piece of cloud mixed with the supreme fragrance of existence. What a lethal luxury it was, making me forget all the pain of training and the bitterness of the beatings, drowning in a sea of flavor that cannot be described by human words."

I sighed deeply, then turned to see pieces of meat on the side of the room.

Their smell alone was enough; it was the meat of Great Creatures.

I pulled the knife from my pants with a devious smile and began to cut the meat and devour it greedily, celebrating my small victory in the heart of my mother's fortress.
