The day was so boring because her older brother, Kai Clove, still hadn't come home after leaving what felt like four hours ago.
The clock showed one o'clock. Lunchtime had already passed, but Risa was still lying on the living room sofa, her phone in her hand.
She scrolled through the screen with a bored expression. There wasn't a single notification coming in on her messaging apps.
Ugh... I'm bored.
Risa got up, went upstairs, and came back down with a change of clothes. The tank top and sweatpants were gone, replaced by a muted pink sleeveless sundress. She put on a straw hat and slipped on her shoes. She walked out of the house, then turned back because she forgot her brother's advice about locking the door.
Walking out of the housing complex, Risa strolled casually through Wynwood, feeling pretty happy. Maybe she'd run into her brother, who was also out somewhere around here.
