One year later.
The world had changed.
Not because someone had conquered it.
Not because a System had taken control of every living soul.
Not because a powerful ruler had decided what the future should look like.
The world had changed because, for the first time, people had been given the chance to decide what came next and they had chosen to live.
Across countless universes, old ruins had become cities again.
Broken roads had been rebuilt. Dead worlds had begun to breathe. Empty planets that had once been nothing more than battlefields were now filled with lights, homes, markets, schools, and children.
There were still problems.
There were still disagreements.
There were still people who made terrible choices.
But that was what made the new world different.
No one was trying to create a perfect existence anymore.
They were simply trying to create a better one and perhaps that was the greatest victory of all.
The age of absolute control had ended.
