Chapter 76 - Chapter 76: The Symphony of Steel and Soul

The beam of ionized water struck Ray's Resonance Field with the force of a falling moon. The ocean beneath them evaporated into a thick, white shroud of steam. Ray's feet skidded back in mid-air, his golden aura flickering as the Leviathan's raw power pushed his mana-core to its absolute limit.

"Warning: Aether-Link integrity at 42%," Caelum's voice echoed, distorted by the static of the monster's roar. "Ray, you can't tank this forever. That creature isn't just a beast; it's a living power-plant!"

Ray gritted his teeth, his eyes turning a deep, incandescent violet. "I'm not trying to tank it, Caelum. I'm trying to listen to it."

He closed his eyes, ignoring the blinding light of the beam. Through the 'Global Script', Ray felt the Leviathan's consciousness. It was a chaotic mess of rusted gears, corrupted code, and a tiny, terrified soul that had been trapped in a metal shell for a millennium.

The city of Neo-Tokyo, built upon the creature's back, was draining its life force to power its neon lights and anti-gravity trains. The Guardian wasn't attacking Ray out of malice—it was screaming for help.

"Format: System Purge!" Ray yelled, his voice carrying the authority of a God-King.

He didn't push back against the beam. Instead, he allowed his body to become a 'Conductor'. The massive energy of the Leviathan flowed through Ray, into the Golden Seed in his chest, and was instantly converted into 'Healing Mana'.

Ray shot forward like a golden needle, piercing through the beam of destruction. He reached the massive, armor-plated head of the beast and slammed his palm against a rusted circuit-plate near its eye.

"Sleep now, old friend," Ray whispered. "The era of the machine is over. Wake up to the era of the soul."

A wave of pure, white light erupted from Ray's hand. The metal plates on the Leviathan's body began to crack and fall away into the ocean, revealing ancient, glowing scales beneath. The roar of the beast changed from a mechanical screech to a deep, melodic hum that vibrated through the very core of the Earth.

The giant eye of the Leviathan focused on the small, glowing human before it. For the first time in ten centuries, the Guardian was free.

But as the light faded, a cold, metallic voice rang out from the sky—not from the beast, but from a fleet of 'Architect-Class' warships descending from the upper atmosphere.

"Subject 402, you have interfered with the Global Power Grid. By order of the Central Core, the Leviathan must be terminated."

Ray looked up, his sword 'Aether-Edge' manifesting in his hand. The real war had just begun.
