Chapter 58 - Chapter 58 An Accident Happens! Giving Kie Mouth-to-Mouth!

This night, Kaito slept very comfortably. However, to avoid trouble, his vigilant brain woke him up automatically early in the morning.

Giving the brain a like, Kaito began to wake the two women who had been holding him while they slept.

Although nothing happened, he slept sweetly in a fragrant atmosphere, so his movements were very gentle.

After waking up, Mika and Shodai rubbed their eyes sleepily. Looking outside through the still-open door, they realized it was just barely dawn.

Both gave Kaito a slightly resentful look, then, without the energy to say much, ran back to catch up on sleep.

Kie was also woken up during this process, but the two cleverly just said they had gone to the bathroom and that it was still early.

However, even though they said that, Kie, whose biological clock also woke her very early, couldn't go back to sleep.

Since she was already awake, she might as well get up and make breakfast for everyone.

After all, she was used to it. If you told her to go back to sleep, she actually wouldn't sleep soundly.

"Oh? Kaito-san, you're up this early too?"

"Yes. I observed the seaside yesterday. Now is the best time for low tide foraging."

Low tide foraging means going to the seaside during high and low tide.

And low tide is the best time.

However, the times of high and low tide are not the same every day. As time goes on, what was high tide in the morning and low tide at night might become high tide at night and low tide in the morning half a month later.

Indeed, from his observations yesterday, Kaito noticed this.

Now it was low tide. They could look on the beach for some delicious things left behind.

For example, some crabs, shrimp, and various shellfish.

Depending on the situation, there might also be some stranded fish in small sand pits unable to return to the sea.

Kaito knew this so clearly because his university was near the sea, and his roommates would occasionally suggest going to the seaside in the summer, or inviting underclassmen to go swimming or low tide foraging.

Thanks to this, even though Kaito didn't go to the seaside much because he couldn't swim, he learned these little common sense.

Plus, after carefully observing while swimming in the sea yesterday afternoon, he noticed some clues.

Gently dispersing the surrounding rock wall, Kaito walked out and took a deep breath.

Hmm, as expected salty and fishy, and also very humid.

Besides that, the sea breeze was still a bit cold.

Walking to the beach and looking, sure enough, the seawater had receded a lot, and he also saw some crabs he hadn't caught yesterday.

"Kaito-san, please wash up with some water."

Kie specially brought a small basin of water for him to wash up. This kind of thoughtfulness made Kaito appreciate her even more.

'Truly a good woman, a virtuous wife and mother. Kie was undoubtedly number one in the entire chat group.'

Kaito took the rock basin he had made, first poured a little to wash his hands, then cupped some water to simply wash his face and rinse his mouth. That counted as brushing his teeth and washing his face.

Under these conditions, this was all he could do.

"Thank you, Mrs. Kamado."

"You're welcome. Well, Kaito-san, I'll go make breakfast first."

"Wait a moment. Come with me to catch some crabs and see if there are any shellfish. We'll cook together after everyone gets up. Don't always think about doing everything yourself."

"Huh? Well, okay."

Kie hesitated for a moment, but seeing Kaito's good intentions, she smiled and nodded.

Then, following Kaito, they took off their shoes, rolled up their pants and sleeves, and walked together on the beach, picking up the crabs they found and putting them into the rock bucket Kaito had casually made.

"Oh, this crab is huge."

Following behind Kaito, helping to catch crabs, Kie suddenly saw a crab emerge from the sand and, upon seeing her, turn and run.

Seeing the crab was as big as a watermelon and very beautiful, obviously a delicious large crab.

Excited, she immediately followed to catch it.

She wasn't afraid of the crab pinching her; she was already adept at dealing with crabs.

Chasing it until the water covered her knees, Kie finally caught the crab as it floated in the water for a while.

Holding its two claws with one hand and its back with the other, Kie happily prepared to show Kaito the super large crab she had caught.

But, as if fate had other plans,

Suddenly, a small wave hit. Not yet steady, Kie stumbled and was pushed into the sea by the wave. As she tried to grab the sand, the receding wave pulled her back several meters, and she happened to sink into a reef area with a drop-off.

"Huh? Mrs. Kamad..."

Kaito, who was digging for crayfish in the sand, sensed something. Turning to look at where she disappeared, he quickly deduced from the footprints and the waves nearby what had happened.

Remembering that Kie still couldn't swim, Kaito didn't have time to think. He jumped directly from where he was and plunged into the sea.

Sure enough, this area had a reef drop-off, and the depth was about ten meters!

Kaito began to observe around the reef area and quickly spotted Kie, who was already weakly flailing her hands and feet in the water!

'Damn it, she was about to drown and pass out.'

Kaito kicked his legs and swam as fast as he could to Kie. He grabbed her, then, at a slightly slower speed, rushed out of the sea with her in his arms.

Tap, tap...

Standing on the beach, Kaito put Kie down and looked at her. Well, it seemed he was too late.

She had just fainted.

"Whew... sorry, Mrs. Kamado."

Recalling some knowledge he had accidentally learned at his university, Kaito quickly removed her upper clothing, then pressed on her chest with both hands.

Seeing her continuously spit out water but not wake up, he took a deep breath, pinched her nose, and directly pressed his lips to hers for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

The situation was urgent now; he couldn't worry about that.

"Ha..."
