Contract Marriage — A Love Story (English Version)

In the busy city of Dhaka lived Arian—a successful businessman. He had no shortage of money, yet peace seemed missing from his life. On the other hand, Maya was a simple village girl—calm, responsible, and carrying the burden of her family on her shoulders.

One day, under unusual circumstances, their paths crossed. Arian's mother was seriously ill, and her last wish was to see her son married. But Arian had no intention of getting married. After much thought, he made a decision—to enter into a contract marriage, just to fulfill his mother's wish.

Meanwhile, Maya's family was drowning in debt. Her father needed urgent medical treatment, and they desperately needed money. That's when this strange proposal came into her life—a one-year marriage in exchange for a large sum of money.

The conditions were clear:

After one year, they would separate

No emotions, no love

Only responsibilities

The marriage happened quietly. And so began the life of two strangers living under the same roof.

At first, their relationship was cold. They spoke little, barely looked at each other unless necessary. But slowly, small moments began to change everything.

One night, Maya fell seriously ill. Arian, who never made time for anyone, stayed awake all night by her side. Another day, when Arian faced a major problem at work, Maya stood by him and gave him courage in her own simple way.

Days passed, and unknowingly, the distance between them began to fade.

Finally, the last day of their one-year contract arrived.

According to the agreement, they were supposed to part ways.

Maya quietly packed her belongings. Her eyes were filled with tears, though she tried to smile. Arian stood by the door, watching everything in silence.

Suddenly, he spoke, "Maya… do you really want to leave?"

Maya paused for a moment and replied softly, "That was our agreement…"

Arian stepped forward and said gently, "Yes, it was an agreement… but love doesn't follow contracts. I… I have fallen in love with you."

Tears shimmered in Maya's eyes. She smiled and said, "I fell in love with you a long time ago…"

That day, the contract ended—but a new relationship began.

A relationship called love.
