He remained exactly where he was standing, waiting for her to approach.
She, to his dismay, remained where she was as well.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
There was no mistaking the surprise and dismay in her voice.
Oh.
She was still running, was she not?
"I should be asking you the very same thing."
She blinked.
"This is my room."
He had thought as much.
"Well, Hamhut showed me to this room."
She blinked again. "He did? Perhaps, he forgot that I stayed here." She said, rubbing her forehead.
Then she walked towards him, walking right past him.
Very well.
He followed quietly behind her since he didn't know the way to the dining hall.
But for some reason, when she reached the end of the staircase, she stopped and turned around.
"Forgive me for being so curt with you earlier… I am just unused to seeing someone else occupying any room near mine."
He said nothing.
It wasn't as though he had asked for the room.
