Chapter 69 - Chapter 68 — The First Breach

The tear in the sky did not close.

It expanded.

Slowly at first—like a wound resisting healing—then faster, stretching across the heavens until it became impossible to ignore.

What lay beyond it was not darkness.

It was movement.

Distorted shapes.

Shifting layers of reality overlapping each other.

And within that chaos—

Something watched.

The battlefield trembled beneath the pressure.

Even seasoned hunters like Ragnar Kain and Zarek Voidborn felt it clearly now.

This wasn't just another dungeon anomaly.

This was something far beyond their world's natural order.

"…That thing isn't stable," Ragnar said, his voice low as he kept his eyes locked on the sky.

"No," Zarek replied. "…It's forcing itself through."

A deep, resonating hum filled the air.

Not sound—

But vibration.

It pulsed through the ground, through their bodies, through the very structure of space itself.

Then—

The system reacted.

[WORLD ALERT]

[FIRST BREACH DETECTED]

[INTERDIMENSIONAL ENTITY DESCENT INITIATED]

"…It's coming through," Eren Shade said quietly.

Darius clenched his fists.

"…Already?!"

The tear split wider.

And from within—

Something emerged.

At first, it was just a limb.

Massive.

Dark.

Covered in layered, shifting armor that didn't resemble anything natural.

Then another.

And another.

Until a full form began to force its way through the breach.

It wasn't humanoid.

Not entirely.

Its body was elongated, its limbs uneven, its structure constantly shifting as if it couldn't decide what shape to take.

But one thing was clear—

It was enormous.

Easily dwarfing anything they had faced before.

And the moment its head emerged—

Its eyes opened.

Crimson.

Burning.

Locked onto them.

A wave of pressure slammed into the battlefield.

Darius staggered backward.

"…What the hell is that?!"

Zarek's expression darkened.

"…Something that doesn't belong here."

Ragnar raised his blade slowly.

"…And something we're probably expected to fight."

Eren let out a quiet breath.

"…We're not ready for that."

For once—

No one disagreed.

But Kael Varyn stepped forward.

Calm.

Unshaken.

His eyes remained fixed on the descending entity.

"…It's not fully here yet," he said.

Zarek frowned. "…What do you mean?"

Kael pointed upward slightly.

"…Look closer."

They did.

And then they saw it.

The entity—

Was stuck.

Half its body remained within the tear, its form distorting violently as it forced itself into a world that rejected it.

The system responded instantly.

[DIMENSIONAL STABILITY: CRITICAL]

[SUPPRESSION FIELD — ACTIVATED]

A faint barrier formed around the breach, invisible but powerful.

The entity roared.

A sound that didn't just echo—

But warped reality around it.

The suppression field pushed back.

Holding it in place.

Restraining its descent.

"…So the system is still trying to control it," Zarek said.

"…For now," Ragnar added.

Because it was clear—

That control wouldn't last forever.

The entity moved again.

One of its massive limbs broke free from the suppression field.

It slammed down toward the battlefield.

Fast.

Too fast.

Darius reacted immediately, raising his guard—

But Kael moved first.

He stepped forward.

And struck.

His fist met the descending limb head-on.

The impact—

Was catastrophic.

The ground shattered beneath him.

Shockwaves exploded outward.

But the limb—

Stopped.

For a moment—

Everything froze.

The entity's movement halted.

Its massive limb suspended in place—

Held back by a single point of contact.

Kael.

Darius stared.

"…No way…"

Ragnar's eyes narrowed.

"…He stopped it."

Eren's voice dropped to a whisper.

"…Barehanded."

Zarek said nothing.

Because he was watching something else.

The energy around Kael.

It wasn't just crimson anymore.

There was something deeper within it now.

Something that didn't belong to the system.

Something—

Older.

The entity reacted violently.

Its limb twisted, shifting shape as it attempted to crush Kael with overwhelming force.

But Kael didn't move.

His stance remained steady.

Unshaken.

"…You're forcing your way into the wrong world," he said quietly.

The entity roared again.

Its other limbs pushed harder against the breach, trying to force its full body through.

The suppression field cracked slightly.

[WARNING — FIELD INTEGRITY: 82%… 79%…]

Zarek's expression hardened.

"…It's breaking through."

Ragnar stepped forward.

"…Then we hit it now—before it fully enters."

Eren nodded slightly, shadows already gathering around him.

Darius cracked his neck.

"…Finally, something I can punch."

But Kael raised a hand.

They stopped.

"…Wait."

Zarek frowned. "…Why?"

Kael's gaze remained fixed on the entity.

"…Because it's not the real problem."

Silence.

"…What?" Darius asked.

Kael's eyes sharpened slightly.

"…This is just the first one."

As if responding to his words—

The tear in the sky shifted again.

And behind the first entity—

More movement.

More shapes.

More presences.

Waiting.

Zarek's breath slowed.

"…You've got to be kidding me…"

Ragnar tightened his grip.

"…That's an army."

Eren's shadows stilled.

"…No…"

A pause.

"…That's an invasion."

The system flickered violently.

Panels appearing and disappearing rapidly.

Struggling to stabilize.

[THREAT LEVEL REVISED]

[INTERDIMENSIONAL WAR — PHASE ONE INITIATED]

Kael finally moved.

He stepped forward.

Releasing the entity's limb.

It slammed into the ground with a thunderous impact—but the damage had already been done.

Not to the battlefield.

But to the balance.

The crimson energy around Kael intensified.

Faint.

Controlled.

But undeniable.

"…Then we start here," he said.

Ragnar stepped beside him.

"…Looks like it."

Zarek followed.

"…We're in this now."

Eren melted into the shadows.

"…No turning back."

Darius grinned slightly.

"…Wouldn't want to."

Above them—

The breach widened.

The first entity roared again.

And behind it—

More began to emerge.

The war had begun.

Not in the future.

Not later.

Now.

And at the center of it—

Stood the one who broke the system.
