Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 — Berserker Awakening

The battlefield trembled.

Above the floating island, the evolved monster roared.

The Abyssal Crimson Tyrant spread its massive wings, sending waves of crimson lightning across the sky.

Hunters staggered under the overwhelming pressure.

Even elite warriors struggled to move.

Standing near the front line, Kael Varyn clenched his fists.

Something inside him was burning.

His heart pounded like a war drum.

The system flashed violently.

Crimson energy began to swirl around Kael's body.

His muscles tightened.

His breathing grew heavier.

Nearby hunters stepped back.

Ronan stared.

Ronan Blackforge whispered in disbelief.

"…That pressure…"

Even the Myth Rank warrior Valerian the Titan narrowed his eyes.

"A bloodline awakening…"

The sky cracked with thunder.

And then—

Kael roared.

A violent surge of energy exploded from his body.

BOOOOOOM.

Dust and crimson aura blasted outward across the battlefield.

The system finalized the transformation.

The Abyssal Crimson Tyrant roared and dove toward him.

Its massive claws aimed to crush him.

But Kael didn't move.

He simply raised his fist.

BOOM.

The monster's claw slammed into his gauntlet.

Shockwaves exploded across the island.

Hunters shielded their faces from the impact.

When the dust cleared—

Kael was still standing.

He had stopped the attack.

Barely moving.

Ronan's jaw dropped.

"…He blocked it?"

The wyvern screeched and pulled back.

Kael stepped forward.

The ground cracked beneath his feet.

Then he jumped.

His leap carried him straight toward the monster's head.

Valerian's eyes widened.

"That jump…"

Kael punched.

CRAAAAASH.

The impact shattered several of the wyvern's scales.

The monster screamed in pain.

Kael landed on its neck and struck again.

And again.

And again.

Each punch shook the sky.

The battlefield erupted into chaos.

Hunters cheered.

"That rookie is insane!"

But suddenly—

Far away…

In a dark palace hidden deep within the forbidden continent of Umbraxis…

A group of powerful figures watched the battle through a magical projection.

The rulers of the shadow continent.

One of them leaned forward.

A tall figure cloaked in void energy.

"Interesting."

His voice echoed across the dark hall.

"That human awakened a berserker bloodline."

Another figure spoke.

"Should we eliminate him?"

The leader shook his head slowly.

"No."

His glowing eyes focused on Kael.

"Let him grow."

"War is coming."

"And strong enemies make the game more entertaining."

Back in the Crimson Abyss, the battle raged.

Kael drove his fist into the monster's skull again.

BOOM.

The wyvern crashed into the ground.

Valerian stepped forward.

"…Finish it."

Kael raised his glowing gauntlet.

The energy around it condensed into a blazing crimson strike.

He punched downward with everything he had.

CRAAAAAASH.

The entire floating island trembled.

The monster's roar faded.

Then—

Silence.

The Abyssal Crimson Tyrant lay motionless.

The hunters stared.

Then the system rang across the battlefield.

Kael's Berserker Form slowly faded.

He landed on the ground, breathing heavily.

Ronan walked over, stunned.

"…You just helped kill an S+ Rank monster."

Valerian chuckled.

"Not bad for a rookie."

But suddenly—

Ardyn looked toward the distant black fortress inside the dungeon.

The heart of Crimson Abyss.

His expression turned serious.

"That was only the guardian."

The hunters fell silent.

Ardyn's voice lowered.

"The real boss…"

"…is still waiting."
