"And the Oil Tank Factory doesn't seem to be far from the old can factory, but Shimmer is strictly controlled by Silco, so it wouldn't fall into the rats' nests!"
"Strange!"
Duke opened the paper, glanced at the address on it, crumpled it up casually, and threw it behind him. The paper scraps drifted away with the wind, disappearing in a short time, and Arrogance also quickly vanished around the street corner.
Abino Hotel.
Boom!!
The roar of an engine shattered the tranquility in front of the inn, a structure built into the rock face, almost blending seamlessly with it, as a special guest arrived.
Duke stood at the inn's entrance, gazing at the three-story building.
The main body of the building perfectly merged with the mountain wall, and in front of the door stood a half-dead old tree, its base covered in fallen leaves.
"This is it, Abino's Inn!"
Duke had Arrogance wait at the door while he entered the inn. The dimly lit front hall had only a flickering lamp, and a hunched figure was slumped over the counter.
Thump, thump, thump!
Duke knocked on the counter and saw a pair of green eyes looking back at him. The owner, wearing an alchemical prosthetic arm, spoke in a hoarse voice: "If you're looking for a room, the price list is on the wall."
Duke followed the owner's gaze and saw a price list. The prices were reasonable, but only relatively speaking, compared to Zaun.
"It seems Nerdley's economic situation isn't too good!"
Duke glanced at the price list on the wall, then looked back at the owner: "I'm looking for someone, not a room!"
The owner scrutinized Duke for a few moments. "Go find them yourself. Don't disturb the other guests."
With that, the owner slumped back down, resting on the counter, ready to resume his pleasant dream.
Duke shrugged and slowly ascended the stairs beside the front desk, stopping only on the third floor. He approached the innermost room and tried the door; it was unlocked.
"How careless. Is the folk customs of Shurima really this simple and honest?"
Duke entered the room. In the small forge in the corner, beneath a layer of ash, there were still some unextinguished embers.
The room was dim, with only a desk lamp on a small table. The man slumped over the table had black curly hair and a sun-tanned complexion from the Desert.
"This is the main target, Kiham's nephew, Nerdley!"
Duke walked behind Nerdley and gently shook him: "Wake up!"
"Hmm?"
Nerdley opened his sleepy eyes, his face bearing the marks of having rested on a leather bag. He looked at Duke with some confusion: "Who are you?"
"Camille Ferros sent me. She wants me to pick you up!"
Duke took two steps back, raising his hands to show he meant no harm. "You're not Kiham, are you!"
"I'm his nephew, Ham Nerdley!"
"Only one character different from your uncle!" Duke scrutinized Nerdley. "Never mind, I'll just call you by your last name!"
"Um..." Nerdley rubbed his hands, a hint of expectation in his eyes: "I'm a bit short on my room fee!"
"I'll settle it for you. Also, do you have anything you need to hand over?"
Duke glanced at Nerdley's leather bag. Nerdley scratched his curly hair and took out a stack of blueprints from the bag, handing them to Duke.
"These are my uncle's manuscripts and drawings. He wanted me to give them to Lady Camille. They are his last thoughts left in this world!"
Duke took the blueprints and flipped through them one by one. Besides some Hextech derivatives, there were also some portraits of Camille that Kiham had left for her.
In the portraits, Camille still retained the naive charm and passion unique to a young girl. Time seemed unable to leave any trace on her.
And Kiham left all of this on the drawing paper.
"This is 5.0 my uncle drew from memory!"
Nerdley carefully began to speak while tidying up his things, "May I ask, are you Lady Camille's?"
"Son!"
"Huh?" Nerdley opened his mouth in disbelief. Duke laughed at his reaction and put all the blueprints away, "Adopted son, not biological!"
"Camille remained unmarried her entire life; she married herself to the Ferros Family!"
"If she saw these, she would be very happy!" Nerdley looked at the blueprints in Duke's hand, a hint of innocence still in his eyes. Duke shook his head, "That's hard to say!"
"Roar!!!"
An arrogant and violent roar came from outside into the room. Duke put the blueprints back into his inventory with a flick of his palm and quickly went to the window to look out. Arrogance was caught in a large net of unknown material, and electric light was flashing on the net.
People wearing the Ferros Family Spy uniform emerged from the darkness, holding various weapons.
"Stevan really can't sit still!"
