That is a good idea, but how are you sure the one responsible is young and would be participating in this event.
That is simple actually, who ever has caused this is definitely young because no one has advanced to SS rank in that place for over forty years, so it not someone above that age,it also not someone who is of S rank because you mentioned he was advancing and none of their S rank has enough potential to advance this soon after the last one that occurred ten years ago.
I see so if the person is advancing it must be either into A rank or S rank, not above which means the person is young and has not reached the stage of racial limits. But what if they are already in the academy and do not need to participate in the trials.
Even better we get to kill more of them before he's forced to come out and challenge someone of his age and rank if not they will all turn against him,then we wouldn't have to interfere, just let humans be humans and watch them destroy themselves.
