Chapter 5: Themyscira: The paradise island

The ocean's waves shimmered under the pale light of dawn as Von-Ra's sleek spacecraft descended through the hidden mist surrounding Themyscira. The protective aura around the island distorted his sensors, yet Ruby's advanced calculations cut through the magical interference with ease.

"Master, the mists are an energy field unlike any natural phenomenon. Detection is challenging, but the island is approximately 30 kilometers in diameter, with concentrated energy signatures at multiple locations," Ruby reported.

Von-Ra's eyes narrowed, lips curling faintly.

"Interesting… an isolated civilization with both mystical and technological evolution. I must proceed cautiously."

The island's beauty unfolded as the ship glided closer. Floating temples hovered above cascading waterfalls, their spires glinting with mystical energy.

Towering trees stretched into the clouds, leaves glowing faintly as if absorbing the island's unique energy. A colossal coliseum, carved from stone yet radiating power, rose in the center of the island.

Von-Ra's hybrid senses detected movement—warriors patrolling the shoreline, their speed and precision remarkable even by his standards.

"Fascinating," he murmured. "They are trained, disciplined… yet still human in origin. Almost… like Kryptonians under restraint."

He landed stealthily on the northern edge, using a narrow cliffside path to remain hidden. His eyes scanned the patrols—six Amazonian warriors moving in perfect formation, their weapons radiating energy that his scanners classified as mystical in origin.

"Master, I detect high-speed kinetic output and aura manipulation. Any direct engagement would alert the entire island," Ruby warned.

Von-Ra's grin was faint, almost playful.

"Then we observe. Stealth is preferable to conflict. I must locate the warrior I seek before intervention becomes necessary."

He advanced, moving between towering trees and sparkling waterfalls, the light refracting through the mist to create ethereal patterns. Floating platforms linked the temples above, their stability maintained by energy fields Ruby identified as partially gravitational and partially mystical.

"The architecture is impossible by human engineering alone," Von-Ra whispered. "Every floating temple, every waterfall, the hovering coliseum… is an intricate balance of magic and physics."

From a ridge, Von-Ra observed a training session in the colossal coliseum. Hundreds of Amazons sparred simultaneously, their strikes coordinated, their footwork flawless. Some displayed superhuman leaps, others controlled energy around their weapons, deflecting projectiles with subtle force manipulation.

"This is remarkable… disciplined training, strategic awareness, and energy conversion in real-time. Their potential rivals even the hybrid children back home," Von-Ra mused.

A lone figure caught his attention—a warrior faster and more precise than the others, moving with grace and raw power. Diana.

"Ah… so this is she. Diana of Themyscira. Unmistakable. That beauty is unmatch, a perfect body curve with a hint of regality proportion to the muscles develop by an extreme discipline. A perfect woman to be my wife" Von-Ra said under his breath. "I must proceed carefully..."

Back in New York, Koryn oversaw the hybrid children's training. The underground arena echoed with energy as the children executed complex drills.

"Remember, balance and precision first," Koryn instructed. "Strength without control is wasted energy."

Ruby hovered above, projecting metrics for each child: flight patterns, energy absorption, durability levels.

"Master Von-Ra's directives are executed optimally. Tactical performance is increasing by 23% each cycle," Ruby reported.

The children practiced coordinated attacks against holographic projections simulating Nazi units, each strike demonstrating their Viltrumite discipline, Kryptonian durability, and Ra's strategic balance.

"They are ready to become a unit capable of real combat," Koryn noted. "By the time Master returns, they will be able to respond to any threat—terrestrial or extraterrestrial."

As Von-Ra observed Themyscira, Ruby detected faint energy fluctuations beyond Earth.

"Master, long-range scans indicate residual propulsion signatures from unidentified vessels approaching the solar system. Likely interstellar reconnaissance."

Von-Ra's expression darkened.
