The dimensional gate screamed.

Kai Draven looked up slowly.

The Abyss Overlord had stopped attacking.
Even the terrifying creature was staring at the gate.
Something inside was pushing its way out.

Lyra's voice trembled.
"Kai… whatever is coming out now… even the Abyss Overlord is cautious."
Kai scratched the back of his neck.
"That sentence should really stop happening."
Behind him, Drakar growled loudly.
The Dragon Emperor lowered its head.
Even the Sovereign Dragon in the sky had stopped moving.
All dragons were watching the portal.
Then—
CRAAAAACK.
A massive wing burst out of the gate.
But it wasn't like the others.
This wing was enormous.
Covered in silver scales that glowed with ancient light.
Kai blinked.
"…That's definitely not an abyss monster."
The wing pushed further out.
Then another appeared.
Then another.
Lyra counted slowly.
"One…"
"Two…"
"Three…"
Kai frowned.
"Why are you counting?"
Lyra's voice dropped.
"Because that creature has twelve wings."
Kai looked up again.
Sure enough, enormous wings continued emerging from the portal.
Six on each side.
Each wing larger than a skyscraper.
Then the dragon's head finally appeared.
Silver scales.
Golden eyes.
And a crown of horns glowing with ancient power.
BOOOOOOM.
The creature stepped fully into the sky.
The entire battlefield froze.
Kai stared upward.
"…That is the biggest dragon I've ever seen."
The system exploded with alerts.
[Ancient Entity Identified]
Kai raised an eyebrow.
"Oh?"
The next message appeared.

Kai read the screen twice.
"…Guardian?"
The Abyss Overlord growled angrily.
"So the dragon realm has finally sent its protector."
The Celestial Dragon slowly turned its head.
Its golden eyes scanned the battlefield.
First the Overlord.
Then the Abyss Titan.
Then the dragon army.
Finally…
Its gaze stopped on Kai.
Kai sighed.
"Why does every powerful creature stare at me first?"
The Celestial Dragon spoke.
Its voice echoed across the sky like thunder.
"You carry the blood of the Sovereign."
Kai pointed at himself again.
"Yes, yes. I've heard that all day."
The dragon's eyes glowed brighter.
"But your awakening is incomplete."
Kai shrugged.
"I'm working on it."
Behind him the shadow of the First Dragon moved again.
Golden flames flickered around Kai's body.
The Celestial Dragon noticed instantly.
For a moment… the ancient creature looked surprised.
"Interesting."
Lyra whispered beside him.
"Kai… that dragon is from the oldest dragon realm."
Kai blinked.
"And that means?"
Lyra swallowed.
"It only appears when a Dragon Sovereign awakens."
Kai looked back at the dragon.
"So you're basically my bodyguard?"
The dragon ignored the joke.
Instead it turned toward the Abyss Overlord.
The sky trembled as its wings spread.
Twelve wings filled the clouds.
The Overlord's aura flared.
Dark energy surged around its body.
The battlefield was about to explode again.
Kai cracked his neck.
"Well…"
"Looks like round two."
Drakar roared loudly.
The Dragon Emperor roared beside him.
Dozens of dragons gathered in the sky.
The Celestial Dragon spoke once more.
"Sovereign heir."
Kai looked up.
"What?"
The dragon's voice became serious.
"The true war has not even begun."
Kai frowned.
"That sounds ominous."
The Celestial Dragon looked toward the dimensional gate.
The portal was still open.
But now something even darker was moving inside.
The system flashed one final alert.
[Multiversal Rift Expanding]
Kai stared at the screen.
"…Oh come on."
Lyra whispered in fear.
"Kai… that gate…"
Kai sighed.
"Let me guess."
Lyra nodded slowly.
"More worlds are opening."
Kai looked up at the sky.
Dragons.
Demons.
Abyss creatures.
Ancient dragons.
And now new worlds were coming.
Kai smiled slightly.
"Well…"
"Guess I'm going to be busy."
But inside the portal…
Something enormous began moving again.
Even the Celestial Dragon froze.
Kai stared at the gate.
